I finally grew a set of balls...........
And decided to post my actual before face pic. Like I said in one of my other blogs a lot of shame and guilt is associated with letting myself - ourselves go and then realizing how far we actually went before we did something about it. I continue to work on this on a daily basis with myself, my God and my counselor - I don't see her every day but it's a topic we do work on when I do see her.
I also went and got highlights - I used to be a natural blond but when my hubby and I bought the farm and were on a well with severe IRON issues my hair turned dark and orange. I cried when I went and had it done because I felt pretty for the first time in 3 1/2 years. It's been a long time.
I'm down 41lbs as of this AM. Things are great I'm 44 days post op as of today. Other than being extremely tired and lack of physical strength and also noting when I eat or drink too fast I can't tell that I had surgery.
I was 291 in the pic on the left and 249 on the right. Note: I have ONE chin! WHOOPEEE! I totally thought I was a naturally round face - guess I actually have a shaped face now and it's not so round! I am able to tell the difference in my face, my clothes, bra's, undies that I need to burn - I tell ya I think when we have a get together with a bon fire we should totally bring our old worn out undies and have an undie burning party - can you imagine the gut rolling laughter and fun we would have!
Thanks to ELENA for helping me understand how to post pics. I'm IN love with ME, I'm IN love with my hubby, and I'm IN love with my MN support group - so watch out when I meet you hugs and love are coming!
Thanks everyone for being a part of this journey! Love ya!
Sal (BTW - my name is Sally, some call my mustang (I lived up to that nickname when I was 22-23 years old and feeling oh so sexy at 230lbs, some just call me Stang (Juice!). My husband's name is Jay hence the JaySal)

Sally, you are beautiful in both photos! And if you have naturally curly hair, I am jealous! Maybe someday I'll have the courage to post photos, too - congrats on that. As my surgery date approaches, I take closer note of how much weight people lose in such a short time. It's hard to fathom that you lost 1 pound per day - GREAT for you! You must be so proud!
I hope we can meet someday - I, too, live in the SW metro (EP).
Good goin', Stang! ha!
