what to do?

Find a new one? I dunno. I think each doctor has their own opinion and that's that... you don't need to change it, you just need them to help you get approved. That's all.

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

You know if you see a Dr for the first time and you are not comfortable with them then ya I think its smart and reassuring to find a new one!   If u have read other post I am new to mn I am from south dakota so I do not know any Drs here so this was my first one and I was not pleased   all the way around he didnt help me with any of the problems that I have not just the WLS issue.
From my understanding I dont need them to get approved....it would just be nice to have a family Dr that is helpful in helping me with my health. and once I have the WSL and I need to go to the Dr for anything it would be real nice to have a helpful understanding Dr.
