Is the magic Bullet worth it?

I am scheduled for surgery June 17th. I am wondering if it is worth it--or a good idea to buy a magic Bullet blender? How about a small crockpot?? We only have the 6 quart ones here--6 kids and hubby.

 I LOVE MY MAGIC BULLET......

Totally worth the $$......I would say for me personally it was my #1 must have. So easy and convenient! Especially when you are in purree mode.

Second must have would be a vitamin case that you can lay out your vitamins....you will be more than likely to take them if they are in front of you in your face....plus you can throw them in your purse or bag to have with you at all times!!!

I'm having surgery June 17th as well along with Stacy M.!! Woohoo for June 17th surgeries!!

Many of the people I've talked to said they love their magic bullet.  My husband is doubtful that it's "that wonderful" and that's probably because it's about $100 new.  However, you can always go on amazon.com and purchase one for between $50-70.  www.amazon.com/Original-Magic-Bullet-pieces-seen/dp/B000YZKQ 3W/ref=sr_1_2

We have a 3 or 4 cup food processor but it's not good for things that might be slightly liquidy or for blending things with ice.

6 kids and hubby?  That sounds like the family I grew up in (3 boys, 4 girls).  Again, congrats on a surgery date.  If you get a silver bullet, let us know how it goes for you!

I would agree w/ Laura, both items have been very helpful for me. I actually went to Shopko and bought their version of the magic bullet, it was on sale for $20.00, thought I would try it since it was only $20.00 and I love it, not sure if there is much differences between that and the "real" magic bullet. And the vitamin case has been a God send for me. Got to admit that I kinda felt like a little old lady when I first filled it up but it really helps me remember all my pills and vitamins!! Good Luck to you!!!!!!

This has been the best decision besides marriage and kids that I have ever made!!

I think I might be browsing Shopko or Walmart (or even Walgreens) soon to see if I can find one.  Do you know what their brand is called?

I believe it is the Gourmet Brand (wouldn't recommend their meat slicer) but the magic bullet has worked great so far.

Check out Pamida. They have their Magic Bullets on sale for around $50. I know it is about $20 cheaper than Walmart.

I love my Magic Bullet -- 5 weeks past surgery and I still use it at least once or twice a day.

Pretty sure I got it at Target for right around $50.00 -- but if you can't find it, its on Amazon.com for $46 last time I looked.

LOVE the Magic bullet-even before it will become a necessity(my family has always been big into the smoothies)  They dont seem too last long with heavy usage. I will be buying a new one before surgery for sure. One just for me..

I used mine a LOT as a new post-op...  That puree stage was a breeze!  Whatever the family was having?  I'd throw a scoop in the bullet and be good-to-go!

Now?  I still use it to blend fruits and Splenda to stir into my Greek yogurt, and my SON absolutely LOVES making shakes in it!  (He's a little munchkin for being almost 13, so I'm okay with that!)  I've even used it as a coffee grinder, works really well for that!

If you have it, you'll find ways to use it.  I USED to do protein shakes in it, but I'm so sick of protein shakes I could bark!
