.....and sauerkraut and brats and fried/baked/grilled walleye!!  Minnesota food is all about the German/Norwegian/Swedish...with a few Irish and French thrown in for fun!!

mmmm....Lutefisk and Lefse!! (I'm serious!)

my brother inlaw is from lousiana and cooks all of the above every thing fried and or in a gravey , grits and biscuits in gravey.ect.  oh have you had cracklin yet oh man are they good they sound gross deep fat fried( not once but twice) pork skins . love those things and I'm so glad I don't live south cause even with wls I don't know I might still be big as a house . our souther wls family truely have to work it.. remember to sample things little bits are good just not the whole thing which they have and its fried! have fun see you  at coffee when you get home

Oh man, lefse is a tough one for me. I've gotten to where I eat it without sugar most of the time, butter sometimes, and hot off the grill plain. I bought the equipment to make lefse last winter, so if anyone wants a hookup... IN SMALL DOSES of course (I will save you from yourself!) ... you know where to find it
