Congrats, Amy.  That's great!  I have a hard time with compliments, too.  I always have to look behind me to see who the compliment is directed at.

And thanks for the heads up on the cheese.  Sounds good - I'm gonna have to try it!

Nanc - have you sprung the joint yet???

What's really weird is when guy's open the door for me...have you had that happen yet? It's not like I'm holding my two kids or toting a bunch of bags around. SO WEIRD!!!

Nope, not sprung yet.  Here at least 'til tomorrow.  Sounds like surgery's my best option, but wrestling with that.

Yeah, the doors opening is weird!  I was on an elevator once where a couple guys started talking to me.  Before WLS, they never would have given me the time of day.  It's kinda hard to get used to, isn't it?

Congrats on the 80# gone for good!!! Isn't it funny that we all did this for pretty much the same reason, to be healthier, move around better, to change our lives BUT yet when someone compliments on us doing just that it is hard to accept the compliment??!! I am working on it, althought not too many people have said much to me and I have lost 57# so far?!! Anyways keep up the great work, you look amazing!

This has been the best decision besides marriage and kids that I have ever made!!

TY!

Yes, you are right. It's hard. I think it's because we just are humble people. I'm not really sure.

Linda - are you sure nobody has said anything? For the longest time (and I still get it)...people would say to me "Wow, I love your new hair cut" or "Hey, did you get a new hairstyle?"...took me a minute to figure that one out since I obviously have NOT changed my hair or cut. Today it happened again and I said "No, but it must be the 80 pounds I've lost since last year that helps my hair look better." LOL  Try that one out...oh the look...it's hilarious!

You are doing fantastic Amy!   I get a questioning response from friends and family when I tell them I need to lose at least 50 more to get to my goal of 180.  180 I think is on the high side of "normal" for my height. I'm in mostly 18s still, I think I'll be happy in a 12 or so.  Keep up the great work and keep sharing your success. It IS so important for pre ops and early outs especially I think.

Kristy - isn't it amazing though to know that goal is now within reach? I mean, before when we were SMO, goal seemed impossible. But it just proves that no goal is impossible, no matter what the goal is. Every one of them can be obtained if we work hard enough!

It was great seeing you today, Linda. You look just as fabulous as ever!

TY for the compliment. I've had great role models such as yourself to look at and listen to. And that is everything on this journey.
