Do any of you after surgery have joint pain?  I am 1 1/2 years out and the last 2 weeks I have had alot of pain in my left shoulder area, arm, and back?  I know I slacked awhile on my vites, but would that be enough for me to have pain.  I went to the chiropracter yesterday and he said it could turn into tendinitus(not sure of spelling).  I have to ice it,my hubby rubs it then I ice it, and I also use biofreeze.  It feels good for awhile then goes right back into the pain again.  Today it spread down my arm.  I don't know if I should go see my medical Dr. or what.  Any suggestions?

Not to alarm you, honey, but those are some classic cardiac symptoms.  I'd get your butt in to see your Dr. ASAP, to hopefully rule that out!  Not something to dink around with, ya know?

There are SO many things that could cause pain in your shoulder /arm and other joints. I agree with Darla... get it checked out by your PCP.  I had a herniated disc in my neck that caused a lot of shoulder and arm pain. I just had surgery last Tueasday to remove the damaged disc and fuse the vertebrae. Arm and shoulder pain are now gone. Too bad it didn't fix all my aches and pains.

This could be age related, wear and tear on the joints, arthritis, or it could be just an overuse or misuse of certain muscle groups. The best way to determine that is through your doctor and getting a thorough check-up. Oh and take those vitamins and minerals! You'd be amazed at how quickly your levels can drop and this does have an effect on your WHOLE BODY!

Good luck at finding out the problem and dealing with the healing.

What would it hurt to go get it checked out.  I would just to be sure that it isn't anything serious.

Pinched nerve possibly?  Or something else.  Hoep it gets better for you!

I don't think you are old enough for this...but when I was early 40's, I had shoulder pain so bad that I went to physical therapy for it.  Spent a lot of big bucks on it too.  Then after doing some research, I have read that it has a lot to do with pre menopause.  Therapy did not help and it finally went away on its own.  I have other friends that this has happened to also.  But if I remember correctly, you do day care and lifting them babies for several years can take a toll on your shoulders too.  All I remember is the pain was not fun and it was hard to lift my arm to shave the ol arm pit!!  TMI sorry!!
I hope you can get some relief, maybe with medication.
