Oh boy everyone....here goes!  Some of you have been wondering where I have ran off to over the past several weeks.  Not that I was a regular poster, but I have been absent from coffees, commenting, etc.  Well, long story short, my partner of 5 years and I ended our relationship about 6 weeks ago.  It was a HUGE surprise to me, needless to say.  SInce then, I took my Alaskan Cruise with my Mom that I had planned and that was fab.  I have also bought a brand new condo in Burnsville that I am so excited about!

I want to share with you all about my cruise experience and eating on board the ship.  I was a little nervous about how things would go with food, but I have to tell you that there were so many great choices that I was totally able to stay with my program, not that anything else would have been an option!  I also continued my daily exercise aboard the ship and didn't miss a day.  I went on this cruise with a goal to maintain my weight and came home 2 pounds lighter!

My move from our house was pretty uneventful.  Had some great help to get it accomplished which I am forever grateful for!  You all know who you are!  I am completely settled and my dog is adapting well to not having a yard to go out in at her leisure.  She has always been more of an inside dog anyway.  There is a park a block away that I walk her in twice a day.  She loves that!

I have a community/party room here at the condo complex that I think would be fun to host Saturday coffee at some Saturday.  Lots of room!

So, there you have it, I am doing great and life couldn't be better.  I made lemonade with the lemons I was given.  Sweetened with Splenda, of course!!

Thanks for listening!

Heck - I'D even be up for a drive to Iowa for THAT!!!   Way to go with the positive attitude, Michael - that'll take you far!

(How was the Alaskan cruise with your mom?!?  I'd LOVE to do that with my mom, but I'm not so sure she'd be able to WALK on a ship!!!)

I'm sorry to hear about the break up... I guess  I always try to remember a Russian saying we have... "Anything that happens... is for the better." Sounds like you are managing somewhat well! Congrats on the new condo... and the cruise sounded fun!

I don't know you as I'm new here, but you sound like a very positive person who definately made some lemonade. What a great example to many!

The Alaskan cruise is one I have always thought would be fun. Everybody I know that has done it has loved it.

Your new digs sound good and glad the pupper is adjusting!
