Well I made it, Monday surgery was at 7am. Got back to my room and did my required walking. And pretty much slept the rest of the day. Got home yesterday at about 6:30pm. I had been getting all my pain meds through my IV until that point. I took one dose of the pain meds and about 30 minutes later got the dry heaves. Yuck. So no more pain meds for me. I didnt sleep the greatest last night but not too bad. Today has been real low key. Been keeping up with my water that hasnt been a problem.

I told my husband earlier, I think today is the Day 3 buyers remorse. I had the what have I done to myself feeling today. I know it will pass. I may try the pain meds again tonight before bed. I would like to get a better nights sleep if possible.

Congratulations on your surgery.  I hope the pain meds don't give you trouble tonight but if they do and you need something,be sure to contact your surgeons office in the morning to request a different pain med.  The liquid stuff they gave me made me gag and so I did without for a few days but really needed it. Ended up getting a RX for Vicodin in pill form which helped and I was able to get it down.  Happy & quick healing.  You'll have buyers remorse here and there in the beginning, totally normal.

DEFINITELY get new pain meds. Don't think that you'll be strong and get past the pain. This isn't a race.

Best of luck to you!

Please spay and neuter your pets!
