OT: What Is Your Song of The Day?

You are probably wondering what in the hell has gotten into me today....all I can say is join the club.  While I am joyful about reaching the one year mark, there are still all manner of struggles ahead for me and for many others here, so I decided to tell you a slightly embarrassing story about myself and music in the hope of making you smile.  So....I was driving into work today when an old Don Henley CD rolled out of the visor case and nearly hit me in the head.  I figured that it was a sign that I should listen to the CD.  The song "All She Wants To Do is Dance" came on and I cranked it up.  Well, a few moments later it dawned on me that I had been rather vigorously seat dancing in the midst of rush hour traffic.  Now I don't think that the sight of me dancing would cause anyone to throw up a little bit in their mouth or anything, but it was probably not the most elegant thing I have ever done, either.   When I went on my lunch time walk today, the words in the song ran through my head and I pondered the message of the song, or rather it's message to me.  You see there is nothing wrong with getting lost in music and letting your body move in a way of your own choosing, especially if it helps you cope or brings joy to you on an otherwise dreary day.  I love that the woman in the song focuses on dancing and love in the face of all the strife, pain, and other horse**** that life sometimes serves up. 

Everyone has gifts of one kind or another.  Dancing is not really one of mine, but I am thrilled for anyone who can translate the thoughts and emotions contained in a song into movement of their body and soul in such a way that it allows them to feel joy, a sense of escape, or any other positive emotion, if only fleetingly so.  What song makes you want to get up and dance so you can look as cool or as foolish as I have today?

OH is acting up for me today.....Anyways....FUNNY....Yep, I've done that too, dancing in my seat, I've gotten looks and I'm sure my face turns RED......

I've been down today but have tried to get out of it by listening to music.....Music is my outlet, I lose myself and the time......Even walking on the treadmill I somewhat dance to the music.....

My song for today would be, Addicted by Saving Abel, I love that song, it's upbeat...
Another song that holds a special place in my heart is Save your love by Great White...

I don't have a particular song in mind at the moment, but I've had Miranda Lambert's "Crazy Ex Girlfriend" CD in lately, and I sing like - well, a lunatic, I suppose - while I'm driving.  I'm sure I've given plenty of fellow drivers a good laugh along the way.  Sometimes, when I'm REALLY 'in the zone', I even hold an air mic up to my face to sing into! 

Yeah...  I love me some good music.  And if I was AC/DC, I think I'd have a girl crush on Miranda Lambert, too.  Saucy little thing that she is...
