Couple of funny things that happened today--long

1. I got out into one of my gardens today. I weeded a full row of beans. My hubby asked me later what is that? What is what?? He pointed to the ground next to the beans--it was my butt prints--from me scooting along on my butt--along the row. My stomach still kinda hurts when I get up and dow--so I scooted.

2. My 12 y/o son (youngest) asked me today if I had brain surgery when I was in the Hospital. I asked him Why?? Because you are actually making me do my chores--and going to check if I did them. And you are making me do more if I don't have them done. He has been trying his best to drive me nuts--but I have been trying really hard to ignore it. Last night my hubby and I went to town for a drink--**** tea and pop). When I got home our youngest had gone to bed without finishing his kitchen chores. So we got him up to finish them. He couldn't believe that we would dare do that. I told him that it is our job to help him succeed in life--and this is a good traing session.

3. Youngest son was being whinny and crabby. He was complaining about that I am so MEAN!!!. I told him that right now I am the most important and that I have to take care of me--He looked at me like I was an alien.

By the way we have 5 kids at home and they all have animal chores and other chores--So see I am not just mean to the youngest.

4.  I asked my hubby if he wanted to sleep out in the camper with me tonight--it has a queen and king size bed. We only have a full size bed. I have been sleeping on the recliner or couch since I got home last week because He moves around and bumps my stomach to much. He told me--well you are smaller now--so a full size bed should be fine. Oh Great--I hae been trying to get him to buy us a queen or king size bed--guess WLS backfired on me. LOL

Too cute! Love 'em all!!!
And this part is the best because I'm that kind of mom, too

Sharin - Love this :  "When I got home our youngest had gone to bed without finishing his kitchen chores. So we got him up to finish them. He couldn't believe that we would dare do that. I told him that it is our job to help him succeed in life--and this is a good traing session."

I'll have to remember that when my now 18 month old is chore-age.

Kristy, start giving her chores NOW.  Simple ones, obviously, but give her the responsibility NOW to put her toys away, to pick up after herself.  Have her help you do YOUR chores!  The sooner you start, the less resistance you'll meet later!  Make it an expectation.

Just my $.02...

I started having her put her toys a way a while ago, but am not consistant with it.  Guess I better start being so.
