Hello Again Everyone!

Loosing 100 pounds feel fantastic, BUT NOTHING compared to all the kind words I have received from you ALL!!!!  Thank you SO much for making me feel this way!  No one around me that knows how much I have lost has even attempted to make me feel so good about this accomplishment.  It is SO nice to have a place where everyone UNDERSTANDS how I feel and how important it is for us to be able to express it:)  Thanks again for EVERYTHING!!  Crystal

Those people you referred to who haven't attempted to give you any kudos for your loss?  They probably subscribe to the theory that  you took the easy way out.

Bull.  Frickin'.  Shizz.

Okay - so our tools make losing weight a lot easier than NOT having had surgery, I'll give anyone that much.  But it's not just a matter of snip-snip, you're good to go - the head portion of this whole journey isn't for the faint of heart.

Alcoholics have it easier than we do.
(Note:  I did not say 'Alcoholics have it easy', so hold all flaming comments, please).  They never need to touch a drop of hooch for as long as they live, and they can continue to live just fine.  PHYSICALLY, anyway.  Mentally, it's a whole 'nuther thing.

Obese folks don't have that kind of clarity.  We can't just stop eating altogether.  No, we get to struggle with re-defining our whole relationship with food - as a source of nutrition, as a source of comfort, as a major component of our social lives...   it's a lot more complicated, therefore a lot more difficult.

So just be proud of YOURSELF, knowing how much you've put yourself through to get where you are today - BEAUTIFUL!!!
