For the 1st time in my life I'm doing a 5K on Saturday.....

My question is, "It's only supposed to be like 31 degree's out
, what should I wear?  And do you have any pointers for not freezing my lungs?"

I just ran my first 5k this past Sept. and the weather was about 55 degrees.  So I don't have any great advice.  I would assume long pants and a long sleeve shirt with a hat and gloves would suffice.?  Once you get warmed up the first 5-10 min you should be fine.

It will be exhilaratng!!   Enjoy and good luck !!

Ranae,

I was thinking my jogging outfit, with hat & gloves.....

I'm so excited, but sooo nervous......

The cold is really what I'm worried about......

I did a turkey run around Thanksgiving last year. it was cold.... but I ended up taking off the coat and tying it around my waste. I wore gloves, a hat.... and a shirt with a sweater on top. Then I had a wind breaker on top ... I think. Anyway, layers work well.

Elena,

Thanks.....When I signed up for this I wasn't thinking about the cold weather coming.......I just get chilled to the bone.....

I'm not a very good runner, but the cold may just give me that burst of energy to finish faster.....LOL....

Love the new Hair by the way.....

Kelly...it sounds like what you will be wearing will be just right.

I so wanted to do a 5K this year. That was one of my goals. The broken hip took that thought out of the equation!! Hopefully I will be able to run by next fall.

Have a great time....I am so proud of you!!

Love and hugs....connie d
