Cilantro Dip recipe

This was the first time I made the dip, and I'm glad everyone liked it.  I personally think it turned out so yummy because of the salsa.  It's called Firehouse and is made locally in Jordan. I used the HOT version.

1.5 blocks cream cheese (I used full fat)
2-3 TBS cottage cheese
1 whole bunch of cilantro (leaves only for those that don't cook)
1/2 C salsa
Juice of 1 lime
A few shakes of pepper
A few shakes of celery salt

The original recipe called for celery seed and cumin, which I didn't have.
Blend all in food processor.  If it turns out too thick for your liking, add more salsa. If too thin, add a bit more cream cheese.  Best if it sits a while, mine sat overnight.

We got the firehouse salsa at the orchard a few weeks ago and it was demolished in a day. Recipe looks great! Can't wait to try it!!

Hey Kim. Which orchard had it?  Our little grocery store charges $4.99 for it. If the orchard has it for less maybe we'll stock up there instead.  Isn't it the BEST salsa! It's the perfect combination of sweet and hot.  We've been going through 2 tubs a week.

that dip sounds awesome! Of course I'm only on liquids, so I'll have to save that for later. LOL

Thank you for posting this!   I LOVED it at the swapkins and was seriously considering leaving my finds there and sneaking off with the dip!    I'm surely going to make this one soon!

Kristy - I'll have to keep that for when I am eating more things.  Still on Soft/Liquids.  I heard it was good.  It was great to see you in person, although we didn't get to chat much.  I wish I would have talked to more people, it was such a fast couple of hours!
