OK...emotional eater....my face is red and and my emotions are defensive and I feel all worked up.  You tell others to post not eat...I'm doing that.  HELP!!!!!!!

 My Dad taught me something when I was going through my divorce.  Expecting my Ex to act rationally was like expecting a drunk to act sober.  So if I just expected him to act like an ass, I wasn't surprised when he did!  It actually works.

Don't let him "win".  Try and rise above it.  Nothing would bother him more.

Take many deep breaths, put on a comedy or a pick up a good book and try and put your mind elsewhere.

can I ever relate to asshat ex husbands

one of the reasons I'm incognito on this board is because of his psycho ass.....if my name were posted, he'd google me one day and find me and harass me online....

he has tried to kill me on more than one occasion....it's a mess so yeah, I can relate!

DO NOT LET HIM GET THE BEST OF YOU!  You are better than this guy - he's an EX for a reason.....think of how much better off you are without him and guess what?  If he is "ripping you to shreds" You do NOT have to take it - walk away, hang up the phone - whatever it takes to remove yourself from the situation.....you are worth it - so take care of YOU and screw him!

Thank you for posting!  So many years ago women didn't have the support that we do now...so thank you for stepping up.

Sounds like you have had more than your share of crap.  I can not compete.

I hate what Ex's can do to make you feel worthless and ignorant.  I'm not, but he makes me second guess.  I hate that he has that ability in my life even after being divorced for 7 years.

Your crap is monumental because, well, it's your crap!!!  No competition needed.....it just sucks...any abuse, emotional or physical is unacceptable and no matter the degree - it's just bad....

Do NOT let him make you second guess yourself...as I said, next time he tries - walk away, hang up.....but before you do - tell him...you no longer have any power over me...even if it's not true yet...it CAN be true and it WILL be true

you are only going to get stronger from here....

hang in there....vent when necessary coz girl, I get it!

(((((Teresa)))))),  The others put it so well.  You are so much more than the ex.  The only one who can make us feel bad is us, the ex tried to.  Just cut his attack off at the knees or even higher if it makes you feel better.

So glad you came for support instead of eating.  Let's do some relaxing together.  Sit in a comfortable chair.  Close your eyes and focus on you.  Breath in deeply through your nose, hold it just for a moment and release the breath through your lips.  Feel the emotions flow right on out with the breath.  Repeat, Breath in, then out, let your shoulders relax, let the emotions flow like a river, just out and downstream.  Feel yourself surrounded by your friends here.  Repeat this exercise as often as needed. 

You made a good decision for yourself 7 years ago and are in the process of making additional good decisions for yourself each and every day, several times a day.  Come back for more support as often as needed.  Hugs, Kathy

Thank you all so very much.  I didn't eat out of the emotions, I got a really bad head ache, and was challenged to eat because I hurt, but I didn't .  I put myself in a chair, put pillows behind my back, an afghan on my self and my feet up, turned on Numb3rs and relaxed.  My head still hurt, but it did go away for a while...my emotions calmed down too.
