Wednesday: How Are You Moving Today?

I walked 2 miles in slightly sub-zero temperatures before dawn this morning.  I didn't start shivering until I was about a block from home.  My son was up early and thought it was funny that my face was cold enough to make talking more difficult than usual.  Taking a warm shower quickly remedied that problem.  This morning's walk was very peaceful in that my neighborhood had yet to awake from its slumber and my mind was at ease and untroubled.  The stars were vivid against a dark sky, the crunch of my steps the only nearby sound; I relished gulps of cold air I took as I moved along.  When I turned off the road, the twinkling lights of our Christmas tree greeted me as I walked up the driveway feeling refreshed and only a litle cold, the spirit of the holiday season finally upon me.

I have some Christmas shopping to do at lunch time, so I will miss my lunchtime workout.  How are you moving today?

Wonderful to think of your current ease, RP.  You are something!   Many people would be thrilled for morning moments of peace like yours.  Good for you.

As far as my moving, I'm walking without a cane as much as possible right now.  My knee that had the total knee replacement a year ago still bothers me!  But I'm getting geared up to ride the stationary bike soon.
