TMI - colds and drainage issues

okay, I'll preface this by saying I'm about to share TMI...but I need some advice

I have a mild cold, nothing crazy, just congestion and drainage

BUT...

the drainage is causing MASSIVE stomach issues, including me having to ditch my cart at Costco yesterday and run with my kids to the bathroom!  I almost passed out, it was like I was 'dumping' from the snot that had made it's way into my stomach!

What can I take to help????

any suggestions?

I have had a lot of sinus problems, and swear by the Neil Med sinus rinse bottle & and rinse packets.  It's similar to Netti Pot, but has more "force" and cleans out sinuses better.  It's great to keep sinuses healthy when used daily and helps me a lot when I have colds.  When I use it faithfully, it keeps me from getting as many colds.

If drowsiness isn't an issue for you, I think Benedryl works quick to dry up a runny nose.

HI. I just had surgery on Dec 18th.. and I developed  cold with congestion and drainage. I called the nurse and she said liquid Tynol Cold or Dayquil would be ok to take.  I am waiting for my dayquil to come home and will be taking that. :)
