Yes, I am doing really well, thanks.  I just had my post op appt this AM and everything checked out well.  I'm able to get my fluids in and take short walks and at this point I just have some abdominal soreness, nothing too bad.  I am excited to get going through the process and start seeing some results.  I am going to try to meet up with the south of the river coffee group again after memorial weekend.

Topic: Sick 2 year old, No time to eat.
Well, I have a very sick 2 year old at home with me today and I havent had time till now to grab breakfast. I feel so bad wanting to eat when I am trying to care for her but its what I have to do right?

She gets toast and water. Im thinking I shall have the same with wheat instead of white..

On another note, its still so hard for me to get my full water intake. I just cant stand the no taste from it.

 Nikki,

We all falter some times.  You can do it!  You know what you need to do to get back to where you were.  I hope that if that happens to me that I have the strength to admit it, kick myself in the butt and get back to it.  Keep it up.  We're here for you.  :)

Thanks Paula!  That's funny on the "fiesty" redheads.  LOL

For a long time my thought process has been that things happen and you can't change the past so why waste your time dwelling on it and being angry/upset.  Don't get me wrong.  I have my days but for the most part I always try to see the bright side of things.  My doctor even mentioned it to me when I had seen him for my pre-op visit.  I've known my doc for a really long time and he was just giving a quick run through of my family history again and asked me about diseases and deaths.  My mom was killed in 2001 and I reminded him of that and he said "I don't know how you do it.  You always come in here with a smile on your face and your always so positive no matter how sick or how many problems you have going on."  That made me feel good to know that he notices.  :)

Congrats!!!  You look GREAT!!  You must have a similar personality to me...Someone yesterday asked me if I ever get angry, because I'm always smiling and bubbly...But I've always been like that.  He was under the impression that redheads are supposed to be more "fiesty"...LOL

Beano does work well for me.  And I'd also say....water, water, water as well.

Personally I love lentils too! And I would think Beano would work. Also remember to drink your water as soon as those 30 minute after eating are up! Also, remember to chew chew chew!Good luck to you!
