CAN'T GET IN THE CHAT

OK, I'M PISSED. I CAN'T GET IN THE CHAT ROOM. WHAT IS A POOR GIRL TO DO WITHOUT MY FRIENDS THAT I HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO TALK TO IN FOREVER!!!! PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW ALL IS DOING? I MISS EVERYONE AND NEED TO TALK!!!! LOVE, BARBARA

Hey Diane, I feel like we are getting cheated someway or another. We are not getting to support you and the newest Huzzy Pat S. I am doing okay. It seems like my appetite has increased, so I am trying to fight it the best way I can. I think it is head hunger, that freaking demon!!!! I haven't gotten on the scales, but don't feel like I have lost much. I really need to chat every night to get that moral support. How are you and when is your surgery date, I think I remember it being the 11th or somewhere close. Please let me know, as I want to come and visit you. I need to get in touch with Pat to see if she feels like going with me. I sent her several emails but no response, I really don't think the damn email program is working either. How is she doing? Did she tell you that she mooned me when I visited her in the hospital? She is freaking hilarious!!The pre-op is a breeze as long as you keep your BP down when you visit with the aneth&%$^$^#!!!! then you sign, sign and sign again all these papers!! They will also give you a number to call the day before your surgery to let you know what time to be at the hospital. And you may want to get to the hospital on the day of your surgery a little earlier than they request. I was early and they had already been asking for me in the holding area. Hi Jerri! I am trying to get on the NC Chat room. I can't even sign in, it just says host contacted....and then just sits there!! Someone is usually there every night between 8 and 9 and we have a great time. We laugh and we cry. Its a great resource for each other. I am going to email AMOS and let them know what is going on. I think a few others have done the same. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon! I need my buddies!!! Glad to have you on! Hopefully we will get to talk to each other in the chat soon! Barbara, the nc wls group is the yahoo group started by donna early. I am new to this computer thing and i am slightly computer illiterate so i can't cut and past the web site here. Congrats on the surgery date! You will be just fine. As for sharing about your surgery. I didn't tell a soul for two years after the fact. They knew I had surgery but not WLS. But I'm sure after all that weight loss, they suspected. I really came out about it 18 months ago. I don't know why I felt I couldn't be up front about it, but I thought about it and this is what I came up with. I had failed at so many weight loss methods that I didn't have the nerve to go through such a risky and drastic thing to lose weight and then turn around and fail at that too. I just couldn't stand hearing people say...."see you mutilated your body and you still are fat". Well, that didn't happen. I have gained some weight back, but I've maintained the current weight for almost two years now. When I hit the 5 year mark this summer, I'll consider myself a success story. You really have to decide the tell or not tell issue. It is a very personal decision. Whatever it is, it is what is best for you. Christy

Hi Barbara, I e-mailed AMOS this morning about the chatroom. We were able to get on last night, but only four people, that seems to be a magic number. You're right...this is a very important support system we have and I miss it so much when I'm not able to get on...or get on..and bumped and not able to get back on. Hi all, Last night I posted this ideal on the main message board and Delaware, Maryland, Pa and New Jersey state boards. I have gotten several replies and hope to get this started May 19th. I will be in Pittsburg May 12 th and don't want to start it before then since I can not be two places at once. I am so looking forward to starting this. See all lighter. Joanne
