Challenge of the Day!
Thought I'd mix things up a bit. Maybe we can do this with the question of the day. 3 different categories . . .
Physical: Walk at least 2 flights of stairs today.
Emotion: Stand in front of the mirror and tell yourself how well you've done (you'll do) and that you're proud of yourself and you love yourself.
Spiritual: Read Enduring Well -by Elder Neal A. Maxwell (it's a little long so read it when you have some time . . . like before bed) Here's a link: http://library.lds.org/nxt/gateway.dll/Magazines/Ensign/1997.htm/ensign%20april%201997.htm/enduring%20well.htm?fn=document-frame.htm&f=templates&2.0
Then report on how you did the next day!
O.K. I kicked trash on the stairs. Probably because I have 2 flights in my home. I plan on reading the article in an hour when I put my kids down. And, I'll head into the bathroom to tell myself how great I am in a minute.
Did anyone else try this? If not I'll just make them challenges for myself in my journal. Heaven knows it needs to be filled with something!
Hi there
Hey you know I did climb several flights of stairs yesterday. I do try to take the stairs all the time now. Sometimes though my legs feel like that are covered in cement and I can't hardly move them up those stairs. On those days I don't pu**** and those days are getting fewer and fewer.
As far as looking in the mirror and telling myself how well I'm doing..well I guess I'm a bit of an odd one when it comes to that. I have never had a problem with my self image and so I have never felt that I needed to do that...I do thank my Father in Heaven every time I pray for the weight he has helped me to loose and my renewed health so I guess He is my mirror for things like that..does that make any sense at all..haha
I did go to the web site and read most of Elder Maxwell's remarks.
Hope to fini**** today.
Thanks Hydi
Have a great day
Alfie
Wow. Good for you. I try to take the stairs when I have a choice between an elevator and the stairs.
The women in our ward started a weekly workout today. Today we were sweatin' to the oldies with Richard Simons. I think next week we'll do Yoga or Pilates. It's fun to do something good for yourself with other people.
