Your thoughts please?
Melody,
Some reason I never did get this email reply. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your very kind words. I really appreciate it. I hope that you are still doing well. This sugery has been a major testiment to me that life all along has been so worth living and I'm thankful everyday I was given another chance to live it again.

I don't care either. I refer to myself as LDS all the time. Mormon grates a bit, but it is how a lot of people know us. The name isn't as important as our knowledge of the gospel. Thats the important part.
Amy!!!!!! OMG. I'm Christy on WLSF...I had no idea that you were/are LDS. How are you feeling...has all the health issues gotten better? You need to post on the other board too....we miss you over there.
You know what I have a problem with....posting my picture here. People probably wonder what the heck I look like.
I don't post often here, barely have time between work, Young Women's activities (remember I'm president) and family. I have a board I'm pretty active on, but lately I barely get there too.
I wish this board was more active, but I don't think many LDSWLS people know about it.
Looking forward to Conference this weekend.

Hi Christy,
I never did get your reply on this. You had replied under someone else. I'm sorry about just now getting back to you. I hope you are still around. I've not been to WLSF for sometime now. I hope everyone is doing well over there. I'll have to drop in sometime, tell me how are you doing? I hope we see you around again soon.
You look great!
Amy
Hi Amy,
Here's my vote.
We all are aware that many non-members think we are NOT a Christian religion. The Church made an effort some years ago to emphasize the words "Jesus Christ" by enlarging those two words on the official church logo and replaced the signs/plaques on all ward/stake buildings.
I've lived in So Calif all my life (46 years) and I've heard so many mis-conceptions about our beliefs, including "Who is that person Mormon who you worship" (Okay, that's second to "Why do you pray to Joseph Smith?" ) Someday, you'll all have to ask me what I said to my (then non-member) husband on the day I met him, when he asked if I was a "Mormon".
Anyway, I would prefer that our board be named:
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (but I fear this may be too long of a title)
Of course these would be fine too:
- Latter Day Saints (Mormonism)
- Latter Day Saints
- LDS (not to be confused with LSD - Can you tell I'm a child of the 70's)
I'm sure that whatever you decide, we will support your decision.
Laurie
