Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers. I had my visit with the hematologist, today. Monday morning I will receive an iron infusion. While, I don't physically feel any better, I at least have hope! He told me I will probably need the infusions for the rest of my life. Iron is absorbed in the stomach and mine was removed so "HELLO" Why have I not gotten some relief before this. Who knows Well, we had quite a talk and I am feeling hopeful. He said almost everyone has relief after the infusion. It takes a long time to give but hopefully I won't need them often. My weight gain is, in large part, due to cravings and hunger that my body was using to tell me things weren't right. But nothing was working so my cravings were getting worse and stranger. Head hunger is not just hunger that is all in our head. It can be hunger that is not being sated by what we are eating so we need to make sure we are getting all the nutrients we need. Maybe that is why some of us have such head hunger right after surgery. We are missing something because we can't really eat. Even many of the vites we take aren't always being absorbed. Well, thanks again. Grins, Kaye
