This is a pretty good question. Here is my question, our Stake president has always told us that if we were going to a doctors appointment where we would be "exposing" our garments, then it is better to leave them home, and change as soon as possible into them. I would think - going into the hospital for surgery would be one of those times?? what are your thoughts.

1. What is one thing you enjoyed about being overweight? (I know, this one may take a while to answer). I liked having a handy excuse for everything - nobody asked me to do stuff because they knew I didnt have the energy, if I didnt want to shop I told hubby I was too tired, etc. - cant get out of stuff now. (But thats wonderful) 2. The weather is perfect outside, you have a day off, it's your favorite season, and you have sufficient funds in the bank. What are you going to do today? It would be spring, and I would be in Orlando with my kids, going through all the fun stuff at Walt Disney World. 3. When was the last time you followed the spirit and blessed someone else's life? I was driving round for about a week with all my plus sized clothes in my trunk, when I saw a lady about the size I used to be dressed raggedy with her kids, and asked her if she wanted the clothes. She greatfully chose about 8 things from my trunk. 4. What are your favorite and least favorite chores around the house? my least favorite is windows. my favorite is cleaning closets. -Sherrie

Trudi, Congratulations on your date! That's exciting. I wore my garments there but kept them safely tucked away during the hospital stay. I didn't wear them during. I did wear them on my way home though. There are too many people pulling, poking, and checking to keep the sanctity of the garments. That and you could bleed through and stain your garments. I had to buy new garments last month because mine were so ridiculously big on me. It's so nice to be in something that fits but I still think I'll have to buy a couple more pair before the weight loss comes to an end. Good luck and keep talking to us. We love it and you'll need it! Hydi

1. What is one thing you enjoyed about being overweight? (I know, this one may take a while to answer). I really thought on this and have absolutely no answer! 2. The weather is perfect outside, you have a day off, it's your favorite season, and you have sufficient funds in the bank. What are you going to do today? if you add thin to this also I would spend the day with the kiddos maybe at the amusement park. then I would take a nice long cruise around the great salt lake with DH. 3. When was the last time you followed the spirit and blessed someone else's life? Calling my friend because I felt she needed someone, and she did. Listening to her. 4. (((Erin))) so sorry for the pain you are going through! I was inactive for 13 years, nearly excommunicated and have fought to be back. My hubby and I were finally sealed in the west jordan utah temple in april. Funny how Heavenly Father lets us know that we can forgive ourselves as well as him forgiving us. I truely believe that we are harder on ourselves than he ever will be! Have you asked for a blessing? They truely work miracles! My prayers are with you. Trudi

Hi Hydi and everyone else too 1. What is one thing you enjoyed about being overweight? (I know, this one may take a while to answer). I really enjoyed not having anything I ate bother me..I loved eating a big steak with potato...but not as much as I love how I feel now. I have to keep reminding myself of that. 2. The weather is perfect outside, you have a day off, it's your favorite season, and you have sufficient funds in the bank. What are you going to do today? I'm going to hop on my motorcycle and just goooooooo. Hubby and I love to ride and we just pick new spots to go explore. 3. When was the last time you followed the spirit and blessed someone else's life? I think inviting a friend over for dinner that I didn't realize was having some problems and needed and ear. 4. What are your favorite and least favorite chores around the house? I love to rearrange things. I love to have a nice clean neat house but I hate cleaning. I think because it's just me and hubby even though he is wonderful isn't very helpful when it comes to cleaning so I feel I get stuck with it and I get resentful...plus I would much rather work in the yard than in the house anyday. But my least favorite things are vacuuming and dusting. Thanks for the questions....have a wonderful weekend everyone. Alfie

Topic: RE: NEED NEW FOOD IDEAS!
How about if we share recipes and meal ideas. I'm sick of mine but maybe someone else will like them. I like to have a small tomato hollowed out (not completely though) with cottage cheese in it. I also like low fat chili. My hubby made a good one for the 24th. I'll find the recipe and post it. Omletes with canadian bacon or a slice of thin ham are good. I always have it with cheese and salsa. Land O' Lakes has a cheese (I just discovered it, maybe it's not new though) that's called Land O' Lakes Naturally Slender. It's very good. Boy, come to think of it I don't have a lot of recipes for myself. Mostly, I make my family stuff and pick the 'good for me' parts out. No wonder I'm bored with my food.

O.K. I guess nobody's awake to post more questions. My kids are being good (I LOVE SESAME STREET!) so I'll pop out a couple more for you. 1. What is one thing you enjoyed about being overweight? (I know, this one may take a while to answer). 2. The weather is perfect outside, you have a day off, it's your favorite season, and you have sufficient funds in the bank. What are you going to do today? 3. When was the last time you followed the spirit and blessed someone else's life? 4. What are your favorite and least favorite chores around the house? O.K. My answers: 1. Not feeling guilty when I'd eat an entire box of Krispy Kreme. That's about it! 2. It would be fall and my hubby and I would take a day trip to look at the covered bridges and leaves, all the yuppie things. Maybe we'd rent a nice car, too, since we have 'sufficient funds.' 3. Mmmm, maybe when I gave a talk in Feb. on love. It turned into a talk about the Saviors love for us and I can honestly say every word was given by the spirit. I remember a lot of people crying and a lot approached me later. 4. I love to do the dishes (once I'm doing them) and hate to do the laundry. At least until it's all washed, folded, and in drawers and then I love that I did it.

Erin, It's good that you're doing this for yourself. Nobody can make you want the Lord in your life. I'm sure your family will be so thankful though. I know the Lord will bless you if you make it to church. You'll find all the lessons touch your heart in one way or another and it may even seem like they're especially for you. That's the beauty of the Holy Ghost. Your life will be blessed and you'll have peace that you haven't had for a while. Good luck with your tests and a smooth road to surgery and recovery. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you. Love, Hydi
