Hi Erin, I'm so glad you found this board too. I am new here but everyone is really nice and they have good chat sessions. Get yourself up on Sunday, cause you will be glad! I can't imagine how hard that would be, but I know it can only do good things for your family! Where is Los Molinos? I live in the desert of CA. I haven't been on the CA page cause I'm new to this whole web site. I haven't had surgery yet either, but I am still hopeing. I have done all the prelimenary stuff except some classes I have to take. And then I am waiting for an approval. I have a while to go I think. Anyway, good to have you here. I'll keep you in my prayers! Take care, Billie

It is interesting to hear you guys talking about this. I am so ready to be bored with my food! (Wish I could do all the cute little smilies!)

1. What is your first memory of school? Kindergarten, standing in a line against a wall. 2. Have you been to Disneyland/Disneyworld and what was your favorite ride? Yes, Disney land. I am taking my family there next week for 3 days too! (just thought I'd add that) I have no clue which ride I like. Right now I wish I was going after the surgery cause I don't know if I will be able to ride with my kids... Or if I'll want to try only to be humiliated because I won't fit. 3. Would you rather go on a cruise to a tropical island or Alaska? Alaska. I have always wanted to do that, want to see the glaciers! 4. What's the best thing about yourself that you've discovered since your surgery? Or, if you're pre-op . . . what are you hoping to discover about yourself? I loved how Lexie responded to this question! I hope that I discover more energy! I hope that I discover my zest for life again and that I will want to go rapelling and swimming and stuff I don't ever do any more.

So the old guy ate a lot of bran and was excited to go on Montezuma's Revenge. Hummmm, that's an entertaining coincidence.

That's awesome about the Cheez-Its! I'm a recovering Cheez-It-aholic. I vowed yesterday that I wouldn't buy anymore. What is it about them that's so irresistible?! I've pretty much got the same menu as you; lots of beans, cheese, yogurts and meat. I love having dried fruit (especially prunes, which works out great in the bathroom department ) for dessert. I also eat lots of veggies and raw fruit when I've eaten a good portion of protein. I've noticed something weird about my eating, too. I can only eat 1/2 a 6 oz. yogurt in the morning and it's often uncomfortable but by the evening I can usually eat about 5-6 oz. of food just fine. I can also "chug" water. Is this happening to anyone else? A thanks for everyone's input so far! Ya'll are the best!

Dear Tracey, I really enjoyed your post and the thought processes that went into it. I judge too much, and in doing so I have convinced myself that others judge me. (I probably just think it cause I am always looking at others.) That may not make sense, but I did get something out of what you said! Thanks. Billie

Well, I gained weight on my mission also, and then went up from there, so I have avoided most all people from highschool altogether. I haven't been to any of my reunions. SO, I would like to be able to walk the town I grew up in and now be ashamed. I would like to see all my old friends I wouldn not allow myself to see in the past 20 years and I would like to be able to go to my 20 year reunion (cause I sure won't if I'm fat!) That is next summer. I hope I get to have surgery soon..... How sad am I? I wish I would just be happy and proud of who I am, but I can't. I saw my high school boyfriend's mom (whom I was very close with) last year, but it took TONS of courage to do that. Sorry for the novel! Good question!

1. What is your first memory of school? I remember laying on some butcher paper so my Preschool teacher could trace around me (can you believe I use to fit on a piece of butcher paper-stretched out, none the less! amazing!) 2. Have you been to Disneyland/Disneyworld and what was your favorite ride? I went to Disney land once when I was a freshman in highshool, my favorite ride was Montazuma's revenge (sp) and only because there was this OLD man that ate yogurt and bran every morning on our bus with us that could not wait to go on this ride...it must be why I remember it. 3. Would you rather go on a cruise to a tropical island or Alaska? HMmm. I use to would say ALaska, but then I moved here so now I'd pick the tropical islands so I can go get thawed out for a bit! Ü 4. What's the best thing about yourself that you've discovered since your surgery? Or, if you're pre-op . . . what are you hoping to discover about yourself? That some people truly love ME no matter what size I am and some people don't.

Right now I am roasting Garbonzo Beans (great crunchy snack) Last week-end the ward had a dutch oven cookout and it got me "in the mood" to yank out our dutch ovens and give them a whirl. (my fire building needs a bit of work) but I dumped some cubed chicken in the bottom with som chopped broccolli on top of it and poured creamed mushroom soup over it and added some cheese and cooked it on the fire...it was SOOO good. My dh can't wait to try more dutch oven dinners now! Ü I got stuff to try a chicken with green beans and stuffing. I have been in a canned dhilli rut for lunch times though.

Hi Erin! Welcome! Good for you for making the choices you have to go back to church. It is a strong driving force for me I know. I struggle OFTEN with it. My husband is a NM and I and my daughter are the only ones active. I just came back into activity 4 years ago. After 6 years of no activity at all. I understand. I am sorry about your EKG, I went through something similar last year, and it is a bit discouraging when you get that close, and have to pull it away. But I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Glad your here, hope we can all get to know you a bit better!
