Hello everyone...just a quick note. My brother passed away yesterday morning. He was 71 and had been battling throat and lung cancer. He was a heavy smoker. I had the chance to go visit him last wednesday and am so very thankful that I did. He knew us all...other sisters and a brother in law went with me. We had a wonderful visit with him. His funeral is this Friday in Cincinnati and then next week I'll be on vacation. Not really in the vacation spirit now but definetly do need to get away. We are going to Moab Utah. Taking the four wheelers through the canyon lands. So I won't be on the boards again for awhile. I hope everyone is doing ok and just felt I needed to let my family on this website know what was going on with me. I have to wor****il wednesday and I'm really having a hard time keeping focused on my work. I know my brother..who isn't LDS is much better off and that knowing he was such a wonderful man that all will be well for him. Take care and have a great day Alfie

I cleaned out my closet about 3 months ago. I got rid of my fat clothes and gave it to our women's shelter and I felt great! I am going to have to do it again sometime around christmas. I felt such liberation from the weight and I can't weight(sic) to do it again. I am on a new kind of high. I am even walking on a cane now. But, only in church and in places I am familiar with. I am keeping my walker for unfamilliar surroundings and for the winter weather ahead. But overall, I am doing really well. I feel like I have my life back. Donna

Christy, I am in CA. I have a friend in my local support group that is will be doing a hike in Yosemite this summer with a group of other WLSers. I wonder if this is the same hike. -Jonathan
