Nice lookin' bike, Rick! The lights are pretty cool! Riding will help keep your strenght up, just be careful. I had my surgery in the fall and after not riding all winter, my bike really seemed heavy this spring. I'm getting more used to it - but after we lose our ballast I find I need to be much more careful keeping it balanced in the parking lot. Take care, Matt

Wow - you went all winter without riding? Was that due to weather or your WLS? I can't imagine going that long without riding. Tomorrow makes 2 weeks since my surgery and I rode the weekend before my Monday surgery so I didn't even go 2 weeks without riding. I've didn't give my body a chance to lose getting used to it. I'll be happy to lose the ballast but have only lost 45 lbs so far. I've always wished my bike was bigger but it was one of the largest production models available. I'm 6'4" and still wi**** was a little longer - I've only got about an inch clearance between my knees and the fairing assembly. Thanks for the tip though. I'm curious to see what it will be like to ride once I lose a significant amount of weight.

I can't wait to find out! I probably weighed about the same as I do right now when I bought the bike so from here on out it will all be new.

Nice bike!! I liked the illusion blue best out of the options Honda offered. I wonder what an illusion green would have been like? I like the way it looks different depending on the angle you look at it. I bet we have ridden on the same pavement. That would be cool to meet up somewhere. I had my RNY exactly two weeks ago today and started riding mine last Wednesday or Thursday. Just couldn't wait any longer and I was feeling so good by then. I had mine done LAP though and I see yours was open so you'll probably be sore a bit longer than I was. Congrats on being on the losing side now!!

No riding in the winter up here because of the weather. The bike gets winterized and put up on a jack for three months (bummer). I hope to be able to trailer it south in the future for a mini-vacation. Although I've been walking a lot and doing some weights, I've definitely lost some strength and stamina over the past six months. Hopefully they will come back as I'm more active this summer. So that, combined with the loss of weight to throw around has made me much more careful. I haven't dropped it or anything, but a couple of times when I've gotten off balance a little, she has shown me just how heavy she still is! Take care, Matt

Hey Matt, You are right in the dates with Jenn & I .. I just noticed that! Get a blood work up if you arent feeling up to par.. could be something is off kilter... I wish I could bottle up the energy I have and give it away!

Angel - If you were givin' it away - I'd take some! No, overall I'm feeling pretty good. I had leg surgery a couple of weeks ago and that took the wind out of my sails. It is just about fully healed now, so I am starting to work out again. I was just mentioning that I have noticed that I'm not as strong as I used to be - but then again I've been taking it a bit easier the last six months. Both you and Jen have done well over the past six months. I'm down 93 pounds including the 6 days before surgery that I was on a special high protein low calorie food product. It's made a big difference. Take care, Matt
