A full day of bikes . . .
Yesterday my son and I had pretty full day of riding and then watching bikes. First we joined the local Gold Wing club for a ride here in West Michigan. They go to some place of interest nearly every weekend and also once a week for dinner. Although the food is kind of lost on me, they are a great bunch to ride and joke around with even though I don't ride a Wing (all brands are welcome). If you are more of a laid back rider, you may want to look into a chapter near you. We put on about 150 miles of back roads which was pretty nice.
After taking a little break in the afternoon, we headed up to Lake Odessa to watch AMA Flat Track Nationals. This is the first time I've attended flat track racing and it is pretty exciting. I have to hand it to the riders - they've got more courage than I do! It is definitely more intense than stock car racing as they jockey for position up to three times each lap. Fortunately, only one racer needed medical attention, but we did see three or four go down. Hopefully the one is only bruised up today.
Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July! Remember all of those who have and are serving our country!

Hey Matt!
Good for you for riding with the chapters.. I always like the Star Chapters Rides I do.. they are same way anyone can join.. I highly recommend clud participation for those who like group riding.. I like to ride Group, pairs, or solo.. it all has a it's own special appeal... I know what you mean about the food thing.. It is a big part of the rides but for us 3-4 bites and who cares...? hehehehehe Just enjoy the company and the rides.. and your 3 or 4 bites of whatever.....
I just got back from 6 days of Vacation on 2 wheels... I wanna leave again...
2 wheels rolling ...

Hey Matt I have to agree it is more fun to ride with a group! I joined a local riding club and have my license, now all I have to do is get a bike!
Had a wonderful time on a date recently where we spent hours riding all over the Gettysburg, PA area. It was the longest ride I was ever on as a passenger.
Matt; congratulations, it sounds like y'all had a fun day of it. I had to go in to work Saturday, since I was just going in to the office and I knew I wouldn't need my truck, I took the bike. I put about 60 miles on it, and a few of those miles were even down by the beach, which makes it that much nicer of a ride. Then Sunday I made the mistake of washing my bike; after I washed it, I decided it needed waxing, then I decided that the leather needed conditioned. All told, I spent about 2 1/2 hours on my bike Sunday. But at least it looks beautiful today.
Good to see ya Steve! I thought ya maybe threw us over for the Hog group.. u know we are just a clutch of mis fits here.. all makes and models.. but its what makes us the kewlest! I am getting ready to to do some power mods to my R* scoot.. gonna unleash her powerbeast that lies within.. 2 Wheels rollin!
