Saying hello!
Hi, I'm Nan, a new rider and an almost-11-month-out VSGer. Actually, I had a mini-switch, which is a VSG plus a small bowel resection.
Just passed the MSF course, and am getting down to some serious parking lot practice. I am sharing hubby's Yamaha 400 right now, and someday aspire to have a bike of my own ... with an obscene amount of chrome. =D
Nan;
Welcome! This board's been a little quiet lately, but I think it's because the weather is nice and folks are out there getting their ride on.
Angel who you'll see on here is a 10 month post-op VSGer and also a Yamaha rider. She's a hoot and I'm sure will respond to your post the next time she checks in.
Good for you for taking the MSF course. I took it over 2 years ago and have a Yamaha VStar Classic 650. Unfortunately, I live in South Texas so it's too hot to ride right now. We should be back on the road in the next month or two as the high temps cool to the high-80s.
Again, welcome, I look forward to reading more about your journeys!
Blessings,
Jennifer
Welcome Nan, Congratulations on passing the MSF course, it's definitely the best thing I ever did. That course gave me the confidence to ride, and since I took it, I haven't looked back. The biggest problem I have is finding time to ride. The best advice I can give you is ride, ride, ride, the more you ride the better you get. And defintely watch out for the fools with four wheels, because they won't be looking out for you.
Keep the rubber on the road,
Steve
Nannnerz!!! I been away from my forum can ya tell!!! WELCOME our newest Biker Babe!!!
So good to see your face here.. everyone here is the best...
Finally at last!! You are a WOMAN ON WHEELS !!!!
Dean Tippets and his buddy Kim came through and visited.. was so good to see them both.. we rode to a few scenic spots then they went on back to Utah...
WELCOME Nanissimo!!!
Hi Nan!
Welcome to the board! It has been kind of quiet lately, but it is a busy time of year with the holiday last week and school getting started again.
Glad to hear you took the MSF course. Like Steve said, practice makes a lot of difference - and will only make you want your own bike all the more.
Have fun and stay safe,
Matt
