I am new to this board but just thought I'd post a message and say I can't wait to see how my husband and I fit on his Goldwing together now. In February 2005 we triked his 1995 Honda Goldwing (Magenta) for me. I loved it!!! The deal was I had to put at least 3000 miles on it in the first year or he was going to sell it. I made it and put 3500 miles on!!! Last year I doubled my first year total coming in at just over 7000 miles. We even went to Niagara Falls from Tennessee!!! Of course, when we triked his bike that meant he got a new one. He got an '05 Honda 1800 Goldwing (metallic blue). Before we had our surgery in November '06 it had gotten to the point that when I did ride with him it was so uncomfortable. We haven't been able to ride except for a few days so far this year and I rode my bike those times. With him down almost 100 pounds and me down 62, I can't wait to see what it feels like!!!

Congratulations to both of you! I'm sure you'll notice a big difference when you get back to riding! I've found it much more enjoyable now. But, with you having your own trike, you'll probably ride more on your own, right? Hopefully we can get our bikes back on the road soon! Keep up the great work! Matt

We are planning a trip to Yellowstone this year for two weeks. I think I'm probably just going to ride with him so we can save money on gas, etc. It should be a great time just the two of us!! We started out with four other couples but they have all chickened out and decided to haul their bikes in an RV Toy Hauler-- they are just not dedicated motorcycle riders I guess!!! Take care!!

I too am new to the boards and new to WLS. I am scheduled for Lap Band surgery next Tuesday. Your posting caught my eye... I have an '04 Goldwing 1800 (White) and my wife has a '94 1500 Aspencade (Wineberry) that is triked We can't wait to get them out on the road again - Michigan weather is just not cooperating. My wife was looking at a cabin for rent near Pigeon Forge/Dollywood -- thinking about taking a road trip when I'm feeling more thin and up for an adventure.

Let me know if you get to go to the cabin. We're not far from there. We can give you some pointers on great roads to ride on. Deals Gap "The Dragon" (318 curves in 11 miles) is not far!!! It's great to ride, just beware on the weekends- the sport bikes tend to overtake it and love to pass in the curves. It's definitely different from roads up North though so you need to be careful. We have tons of accidents on the road each year and it's because there is no shoulder and most people aren't used to it. If you ride it like you have some sense it's a great thrill!!!! We'd be more than happy to show you around!!! Good luck on your lap band!!!! I'll be thinking about you on Tuesday!!!!
