I just got back from Bike week in Daytona Beach. It was everything that I had heard about and so much more. I have never seen so many motorcycle in my life. I was only there for 3 days, but what a three days it was. I never could have done it and enjoyed it as much as I did, pre-op. I put 400 miles on my bike and I think at least that miles on my feet. There were times when I all of a sudden realized, that I had been walking or standing for 4 or 5 hours straight. I never could have done that as a pre-op. And with being thinner, I could now squeeze through places and between parked bikes, that I never could have gotten through before. I also tolerated the heat of being stuck in traffic jams better, now that I lost 175 pounds of insulation. Although I'm sure I would have enjoyed bike week as a pre-op, I don't think that i would have enjoyed it as much.

I had no problem walking miles and miles but my butt muscles where screaming at me at the end of the day. How was the that clutch hand everytime you got near main street?

Between walking and riding my legs definitely got a work out, and thanks to Main street and traffic in general, I now have some well developed muscles in my left forearm. Waiting for Leesburg now.

Bike week and Sturgis are on my hit list of things to do. Have never been to either one. But that will change real soon! J
