First Bike
Congratulations Susie. My first bike was a Sportster 883. It is a good bike. I really enjoyed riding it. I got a bigger bike 2 years ago so I could keep up with my husband on his Road King, but my mom started riding the Sportster and she loves it. And I agree, if you have not taken a safety class, they are so worth the time.

I think a safety course is in order also when you buy a new bike Harley-Davidson gives you a one year membership to H O G Harley Owners Group.ealers usually sponsor a chapter where you can meet other riders. Quite often you can get a discount if you join Its a lot of fun and you will enjoy the folks you meeet
Congratulations! I did that too - got an 04 Sportster 1200 custom that I just traded in today after putting 4000 miles on it. My new bike I picked up today - a beautiful green HD Heritage Softail. I just got back from riding and it's fantastic! Congrats on your weight loss - just think while we're riding we're not tempted by the refrigerator. LOL. Jenni
Hi all,
Thanks for all the replies...this is a great bored. For all of you who advised I take a Motorcycle Saftey Class...have no fear I am signed up for one the first weekend in June. I was hoping to get one sooner but that was the first one available. I did get my permit this week and have started riding to work!
I love it!
Had to change my name on here and need to get some updated pics into my profile.
