Hey! I've been thinking about you -- I've not seen you on any of the boards lately.  Doing OK? And doing much riding?
I hope the reason there aren't any recent posts here is because folks are out riding! I know that's where I'd like to be.
We've had a few nice (albeit short) trips this summer -- I've only logged about 3K miles total -- no time or $$ for more.
How about you?

Hi Mary,  From the looks of your ticker, you are moving right along!  Congrats!  God has been so good to us, hasn't he?  I'm not on this forum (OH) much as I only have the net at work and of course work time is for work stuff.  But I do peek in from time to time.  Can't handle all the drama on a lot of the boards, tho.  Good to see your progress and great to hear from you!   Stay in touch.  Hugs, Marie

Hey Marie,
I don't have a bike, my husband does, but my reason for being here is to say hello and how are you?  I've missed you.  I hope that means you're well and out there doing it. (the bike of course).  Blessings to you, Mary

I just found this board!  Doesn't look too populated.  Whats up with that?

Hi Angel!

Say, Rosie is wondering where all the bikers are and I thought I ought to give you a shout and see how you are doing.  Did your leg mend well and are you back on your bike?

I hope things are going well and you are gearing/reving up for the 2009 riding season!

Hi Rosie!

Yep, I'm still riding and occassionally checking in on this board.  When they revamped the site I think it became more hidden so it doesn't see much "traffic" any more.

So what do you ride and what have you been up to?  I ride street and dirt and am a MSF Instructor.  I ride a Vulcan Nomad 1500 and a Ninja 650r on the street.  My 17 year old son also rides with me.  Currently we are planning a trip to Americade in upstate New York the first week of June.  It is quite an event if you ever have the opportunity to attend.  We've been riding the last three to four weeks here in Michigan.  We have some snow again today, but it won't stick around long.

Take care and keep you knees to the breeze . . .

Matt

I see you are in the far NE part of the state. I am in the far southeast. I don't get up there much although I did an Iron Butt ride in June and was in Clark's Summit. Are you a rider or just a passenger. My surgeon is concerned about the weight of the bike(lifting). I see you also ride a trike. I do have plans of riding Rt 6 sometime next year. Please contact me directly at [email protected]. I am sure we can get together somewhere. What is your favorite destination in the State. Gettysburg is mine. Thanks for the info

the way I see it, once you're cleared to drive a car and go back to the gym, then you should be good to go on the moto. My advice: Start with slow trips. Stick close to home. Progress to longer and longer trips with the more success you have. If it starts to wear on you, make the trips shorter. You get 100 miles from home and your body "hits the wall" and you'll regret it. Remember - if you aren't focused or your mind is pre-occupied, the last place you want to be is on the saddle of your scoot. So, pay attention to your body. Take breaks. Keep your protein up. Take Snacks. Lastly, stay hydrated.
