Bren;
That's great! I'm glad you were able to relax and have fun.
I had to laugh...I sent out my 6 month post-op photos to a few people back home who haven't seen me post-op and got an email back from one of them that my husband's going to need to bungie cord me to the back of his bike so I don't fly away when we're riding. An obvious exageration, but it made me smile.
Let me know when I need to send you a bungie cord!
Blessings,
Jennifer

Hello, well we went for our fist ride and it was fun....
Hubby says, Oh this is nice!
I have to admit I am still a bit frightened by other people on the road, But he says I will get use to that and he won't take any chances.
I think hubby and I are onto something great with taking rides together. I am really excited!
Thanks everyone for your advice!
Bren
Topic: Where are you riding this weekend!?
Hey y'all! Greetings from sunny, hot south Texas. I'm bored and it's 7 minutes 'til 5, so I'm posting to make the time go by.
So, tell me where you're riding this weekend! I don't know if I'll have time to ride or not (I know Angel, you're asking yourself "How could she NOT have time to ride?!?). If I do, it'll probably be just my usual trip through the edge of Texas Hill Country. Or, I could stay in the flatlands and ride my bike to the shooting range for pistol league...hmmm...that's a definite possibility.
I hope everyone's having a great week!
Blessings,
Jennifer

Wow....tomorrow the big day. Good luck to ya. You should give it at least 2 months before jumping back on the bike.

I'm having my surgery in 7 days and was having exactly the same thought. I am anticipating some serious bike riding withdrawal post -op and knowing me I will likely be back on the bike in 2 weeks. However the thought of toppling off the bike with freshly healing stomach/intestinal staples is a bit scary and may serve to have a positive deterrant effect for a while. Not that one anticipates falling off the bike but you never know, the last thing I would want is to rupture my newly redesigned stomach in a fall.
PS...best of luck on your surgery.
