I am taking a ride tommorrow to go join a Chapter. I am praying I dont get rained on. I live in rain country Oregon! I almost rode to work today also but they said Rain and we got it. I dont mind a cool ride I just like a dry ride. I have to go one hour each way.. and its all freeway... :yikes:

I am looking forward to riding this weekend. I live in So. Illinois and it was 78 degrees today, but I had to work, but this weekend looks good for riding. My husband is out of town working and I am kinda rubbing it in his face that I will get to ride and he has to work. I have a '05 Fatboy and I just love it. My husband has a '03 Road King Classic.

Hope your trip home is warmer than the trip in. My hubby used to ride when the weather was in the 30s when we lived in Michigan. Now that we're in TX, he's spoiled and doesn't ride unless it's at least 60.
I hope you have a good weather weekend to put some more miles on. Ride safely.

Welcome Jen, even though I live in Florida, I went to bike week for the first time this year, and I had a blast. Maybe next year we can get a gang together from this board and meet up somewhere, chat, toss one back and smell the rubber from a burn out pit.
I'm glad to hear your family rides. I ride, my wife want to get back in the saddle after she heals from back surgery, my son just got a new bike, and my daughter used to ride before she got knocked up, now no rideing for her until after September.

I think it was 35 degrees here once,
You are a dedicated biker to be on your bike in that kind of weather, I still need to get a pair of chaps for next winter, so that I can ride in our frigid 60 degree winter weather.

I just caught your post. We have a store here that carriers all kinds (100's) of bikes. Mostly slightly used. It was a great place to go and sit on different styles. Especially the smaller first bikes that people use and trade up. I was convinced I wanted a Kawasaki and then actually ended up with the Suzuki Marader. Both were beginner bikes (800) but after sitting on them you could feel the difference.

DH and I both have bikes so does brother in law- though I haven't convinced my sister to climb aboard. This site is just starting to get going. I think maybe with the better weather we will see more post.

Took my bike to work today- Suzuki 800 and dam it is cold. Was 35 degrees when I left the house. Need to get new gloves. It is supposed to be in the 70's this afternoon. Kept telling myself how good the ride home will be.
I know that Steve is laughing at us New Englanders but hey it is what we do to get in the extra riding.....
It is supposed to be a nice weekend. Hopefully will be able to get a full day on Saturday.
Its good to see more people posting....

Congrats on the weight loss. I ride a Suzuki Marader 800. Now that I am down 90 lbs it rides great. Do take the course it helps a lot. My DH had never ridden got a Vstar 1100 for his first bike.(dealership delivered the bike right to the garage) After the class he was good to go.
