Between walking and riding my legs definitely got a work out, and thanks to Main street and traffic in general, I now have some well developed muscles in my left forearm. Waiting for Leesburg now.

I just found this site. Living in Washington we have alot of rain, but we have had several nice days to ride lately and I have enjoyed it. My husband got a larger bike, 1500cc, 2 years ago because as he nicely put it,"honey you were crowding me off my seat." Well the 64 lbs I have lost since Dec are giving him alot more room, and a more comfortable ride for me. I can hardly wait until Next Summer !!! Hope you are doing well on your WLS programs, and having a good time riding. Pam

I had no problem walking miles and miles but my butt muscles where screaming at me at the end of the day. How was the that clutch hand everytime you got near main street?

Hey there I have a Honda 750 Shadow and it is pretty heavy. My surgeon had me wait 6 weeks and then I couldn't wait to gooooooooooooo... Just took a few short rides at first. Was a little nervous about pulling something. Good luck on your surgery. It is definetly worth it and a great ADVENTURE. Take care and God Bless Alfie 280-195 hope to be 145 someday

I will be 4 months out tomorrow and I still haven't gone for a ride. I've got a Yamaha 650 VStar Classic and it was heavy for me pre-op, so I've been too scared and busy to take it out post-op. I'm sure you're a more confident rider than I am, so I would plan for 6 weeks off the bike. Blessings, Jennifer 253 / 191 / ???

I would say you should be back in the saddle by June 1st... But you will know when the time is right. It took me 2 months but I had to wait for a dry day... I am still waiting for more dry weather... Angel J

My surgeon told me no heavy lifting for 6 weeks after surgery, so I didn't ride for 6 weeks, just because I was afraid of ripping something pulling the bike up, or trying to pick it up if I laid it down. That would be my suggestion. Good luck, steve
