Was anyone else nervous to ride in their early post-op days? I'm afraid of the following: 1. I won't have the muscular strength that I need to keep my bike up right at stop lights and such. 2. I won't be able to focus as much as I should and possibly get myself in a situation I can't get out of. My bike (Yamaha V-Star Classic 650) was heavy for me when I was pre-op. I'm just worried now that I'm 41 lbs. lighter that I'll struggle with it more. We've had some amazing weather down here in South Texas for December and January. Highs have been in the mid-70s to mid-80s - perfect riding weather. I'm just too afraid to give it a try yet. Any tips or words of encouragement?

I sure wish I was! I'm stuck up here with lake effect and haven't seen the sun in days. I can't think of anything better than soaking up some sun and taking a ride by the ocean! Have fun everyone!

I'll be there at least a couple of days. I'm not sure how long, maybe the 9th through 12th. I guess I need to start looking for a room.

You have excactly 8 weeks and 2 days. Not that I'm counting or anything. Thats how my husband and I got our new bikes last year. We went in for a oil filter for the bike he had before and left with two new ones. Gotta love it. ENJOY.......get going on breaking it in. Gotta look purty for bike week.

Good luck in February Trish, and just think how great it will feel to be on that bike next summer, with all that weight gone. Steve
