Topic: Any cheap low rider bikes in NorthEast?
Hi,
I'm from Upstate NY (The Finger Lakes Region of Western NYS). Does anyone have a low rider cruiser type bike such as a Yamaha Virgo 250 or Honda Rebel 250, or Suzuki (for examples) that is in reasonable shape they would be willing to sell fairly cheap? Perhaps someone has a bike sitting around they don't use often? I'm a short 5'3 1/2 so I'd like a low bike that is NOT top heavy. I thought I'd ask just in case there might be someone is who not using a bike, as perhaps they have upgraded to a heavier or faster bike. I am not interested in high speeds nor do I want to ride any passingers. Something like a Suzuki GN-125 would be just fine too!
Thank you. Have a nice day.

Hi all, I have a suzuki 800. Turned 40 and told hubby I was getting a bike. If he wanted to spend time with me he should pick one up also. As a first time rider and he picked up Vstar 1100....
Dream bike... HD duece.... some day. Have been at it a few years. We just got back from Laconia-- It was wet and cold. Waiting on the weight loss so that I can get chaps and new riding gear.
I don't have a surgery date yet, but expect to miss out on the fall rides.

HI there
I grew up in Indiana..the southern part a little town called Henryville.
Still have lots of family in the area and I go back often. My hubby has a Goldwing..he calls her Goldie..go figure haha
I have a Shadow 750 and just love it. I've even started riding it to work. Gas has gotten so high that riding my bike just makes more sense. I work in an office so fighting helmet hair is a real deal.
Take care and enjoy the wonderful weather on your Goldwing.

Ill get a new bike in a few months after Im done recovering and feel comfortable riding again. I have been riding for about 3 years. I learned how to ride at the Motorcycle saftey course!! I kisssed my Goldwing goodbye last Sunday just before surgery, but promised her I would be back on in a month or so
It's rainy and hot here now

Today we drug out the bike....our Goldwing.
It was our first ride of the season, also the first since my weight loss of 145 pounds. My hubby was driving. I was his passenger. He leaned back and said, "WOW!! Where is my back rest? I sure do miss it." LOL I answered..." I sure don't". LOL We may need to buy a new seat with a different back rest. Poor guy!! AH, let him suffer. It felt so good to ride again. I was so comfortable. Get your bikes out and go. It is finally that time of year in Indiana.
Blessings, Rhonda

Good post Karen!
My surgery is set for 5/23/05. This Sunday I went to the garage and hugged my Candy Red Goldwing....told her I wouldn't be riding for about six weeks, but I'll be out to start her up and do some detailing while I recoup. I think the longest I have ever gone without riding in the past is 2 weekends. Here in Florida we ride year round. This is going to be tough!
But I know I will be going a lot faster when I drop a 100 lbs or so

Hey Denise!
I passed my advanced training class a few weeks ago. Needless to say it rained the whole time. I'm still waiting for my surgery date and can't wait to be able to ride with a tank top on. I've owned my 750 Shadow since June of last year. Love to ride. There is a womans club here in Orlando. They take you no matter what you ride it's great fun they ride together the second thursday of the month. Enjoy riding!!!

Biggest thing I found out that is that my butt bone kills me after loosing a lot of weight. I got a gel pad inserted into the seat to help. it seems to be a common problem. I never knew I had a tail bone
