Sorry to hear that your last ride has happened. We had the same problem living in NH but with the wifes bad knees we moved south to NC. Still riding and loving it. Had a choice new car or new bike , care to guess which one??? lol. Well Im am the owner of a 2007 HD Street glide. Gave up my 96 Dresser which went to a good home. still miss the New England fall colors. Hope your winter isnt to bad.. I promise not to tease you about riding in January or February(maybe???) I know its hard to break out the fuel stabilizer and put your rides on a trickle charger to keep the battery alive.but spring will soon come back and the rumbling of the engine will pick up your spirits

Donna: Glad to hear you were able to get another ride in. I was kicking myself last week for putting mine away - it was in the 60's here. Well, needless to say it's not now and we have about 5 inches of the snow. They are saying we'll be lucky to hit 20 degrees on Thursday. So, I don't feel quite so bad now. As you can tell, I think most of the folks who post here aren't stopping by as much because they aren't riding now. Our touring club still gets together for dinner once a week and is working on events for next year. I'm also thinking about making plans for Daytona and Americade. Then there are always the bike shows in the winter to go to (International Bike show hits several major cities plus there are a couple others featuring custom bikes). So, I still like take in what I can find - be it new bikes, stories of rides or whatever. Hopefully it will be a short winter! Matt

Matt, Great looking bike! I love the Nomad look. I didn't recognize you from the new pic but after looking at your profile I remember you from either the mens forum or our surgery month forum. Take care and keep the rubber side down. Kevin

Well Thursday here in New England it was a lovely 60 degrees with no rain, so when I woke I ask DH if the bikes were accessible in the garage. What an awesome ride to work. The traffic was heavy but honestly just riding to Boston on November 30 was a joy. There were a few bikes out there-- ended up riding in beside a newbi on a BMW. Prediction is for snow this weekend so looks like I will finally have to put bikes to bed until spring.... for those of you in the north have a nice winter.... for the rest of you enjoy... and think of us while you ride. donna

congrats on the new bike. I have the Suzuki Marauder 800 and loved it until I started to ride the DH's Yamaha 1000. I know am looking for a newer bigger bike. I am not sure about going up to the 1500 but love the Suzuki style. The smaller bike is nice on the country new england roads, but now that we are traveling father and more highway, it is time to move up. d

I am planning on getting my first ever bike.I am planning on a Honda VTX1300,one reason is because I am tall and someone who is into bike told me that the smaller bikes would not fit my needs.I am looking forward to learning and getting out to enjoy the out doors.....bob

I finally took time to learn how to put some pics on my profile and use the new features. I have a pic of my Vulcan along with some of my son and I with our dirt bikes. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Matt

Kevin: Moving to a bigger bike is quite a change, eh? I, too, changed from an 800 to a 1500. I had a Suzuki GS850G and then bought a Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad that is 1500 cc's and nearly 200 pounds heavier. The ride is definitely a lot smoother - but I find I need to think ahead a little further than before as larger bikes aren't quite as nimble. Hope it brings you many miles of pleasure! Matt

Morning After WLS I bought my first ever bike, a Suzuki Intruder 800, and loved it. About 2 months ago I decided I wanted a bigger bike and sold the old one and purchased another Intruder but a VL1500LC. It is so much more of a bike and last week I took my first long ride. I traveled a little over 900 miles on it to Atlanta, GA. I took a pic and posted it on my profile. The first update I've had in about 6 months. Keep the rubber side down! Kevin
