Thanks, Cathy! You know, it's not so much the crowd response that I had issues with when I was heavier - it was dealing with the people (usually men) who made the hiring decisions. If you don't look a certain way they tend to blow you off. I don't think it's coincidence that the only stable paying gig I've gotten here was when I was hired by a woman.
