Hard To Believe:

I have been so blessed that I have lost the weight that I have, but there are times when I tend to worry that it is just to good to be true, and find myself thinking what would I do if I stopped losing the weight after going through this surgery, and now not being able to eat like I did before. I have to say that since I have had the surgery I have not had any hunger at all, so I am eating because I have to. For the first time since the surgery I found something to eat that didn't feel heavy on my stomache. I sometimes find it hard to eat three meals per day, and am worried about not getting enough protein. I have thought about adding a protein drink but I am afraid that my Dr Wouldn't approve of it. I have had no complications from this surgery as of yet, I am healing fast, have not had to much discomfort. I only had a few spasms after surgery. I never realized just how much food has been a part of my life and even more now because I have to watch the lables very close to avoid those hidden sugars. I guess some of the feelings that I am having are natural. I find it easier sometimes not to eat at all, but that is not good. I am ten weeks post op and have lost over 80 pounds now. I just hope that the weight keeps coming off. I haven't lost the taste for foods but it is easier to eat some things than others, last week I had a bout of losing what I ate, but I think that it was because I was eating to fast. I will be glad when I reach my goal weight, and hope that I can maintain it and not end up where I am now or was. I see the Dr on the 17th for a follow up visit, and I am thinking that by then I will have lost 90 pounds. I hope that all of you that have had the surgery will continue the good work, and that those that are thinking about it will decide, and those that are getting ready to have the surgery will be encouraged to do so, I may have my concerns but this is the best decision that I have ever made.
