Well, I talked with Jan at WRAMC and she put me on the list, but yes the wait is 2 years! Eek. So....she referred me out on the economy and I have an appointment in just over 2 weeks to see Dr. Cook, who is a new doc doing the surgery with Dr. Kirkpatrick and Dr. Fenelli at WHC. I have gotten a head start and had my PCP put in the consult for a lot of the tests I know he's going to want. I had my EKG and chest x-ray today. I guess I am on my way.

Thanks Eileen! I will check him out. I have my consult tomorrow with Dr. Marley, but God knows I don't want to wait 2 years! Yes, we are at Pax!

Lee, You guys must be at PAX...we just left Dahlgren, VA. I looked into having my surgery at Walter Reed, however, there was a two year waiting list, and they flat out told me I had to see a civilian. I had my surgery done at Georgetown University Hospital with Dr. Kalan. He takes Tricare. I know of another girl who's husband is stationed at Pax who had her surgery there too. (actually I know of about 3 other military spouses from the DC area who have used Dr. Kalan). If you have any questions, or if I can be of any help, just shoot me an email! ~Eileen~

Erin, that is awesome that he was picked up for the Officer Program! Congrats to both of you! You know we have friends who just moved to Offut AFB, although he is Air Force. I see that your surgery is soon, and I wish you the best! If you need anything, or have questions, don't hesitate to email me. Eileen
