That's awesome! When it happens it happens fast...so happy for you. The 25 is the day before my surgery and the last day of the liquid diet! So excited. All the best!

That IS exciting. You really didn't have a long time to wait! Keep us posted on how you are doing!!!!!
I am having my surgery in Fredericton. I had my first dietitian appointment today with the second one next week. So excited!!!!
Exciting, eh? The waiting is tortuous at times, but now seems to fly by with so much to do before my surgery. Where is your surgery happening?
The doctor's name in Fredericton is Dr. Boisvert. When investigating your surgeon remember to also investigate their support system both before and after surgery. Only my opinion but Dr. Beausoleil in Moncton and his team have the best support (before and after). They also seem to have the strictest guidelines to follow (which is a VERY good thing). I believe he also has the longest wait times but is well worth the wait. Just my opinion:). Good luck on your journey.
Hello all, I have been following this forum since I was referred 3 years ago. I am not starting my own journey. I have filled out my paper our out. I go for my blood work and dietitions appointments tomorrow. This is the beginning of an exciting journey. Hopefully I can get everything done quick and get on with the surgery.
My dr is dr savoie in Bathurst. It's been a long wait but finally is here!! I have a ways to travel (3hr drive from here to Bathurst), but so happy it's here. The drive is worth it!!!
Finally got my call today from Bathurst. Boost starts on may 25th and surgery on June 8th. Been a longgggg wait since 2009 when I was first referred! Now to get tons done before then!
Thanks!! I was asking cause my family doc is fairly new and only knew of the one in moncton :) I wanted to be able to give him the other names too :) :)
Hi alicia,
In Moncton, there is dr. Beausoliel, the is another doctor in fredricton, but can't remember his name, and then there is dr savoie and dr. S in Bathurst. I believe your family physician has to send a referral to the surgeon before you can see them but not 100% sure on that. Best thing would be to call your family doc!!!
good luck!!!
