After 5 years of waiting, I met with the team two weeks ago. Now I go Tuesday to meet dr semerjian and then a group/support meeting on Wednesday. Anyone have any advice/knowledge what my surgeon meeting consists of? And how long of a wait I can expect after before the actual sleeve surgery!
Hi Kim, I don't have fond memories of this stage of the process but just power through it, it will get easier. You can do this, it sucks but it is worth it. Drink tons of water and flush out all the crap in your system, you've got this! I know that it does not feel that way but I promise you will look back and be glad you did it. Remember thousands have gone through this and everyone felt the same way...just power through it!
The staff in the bariatric clinic are soo nice and very knowledgable and approachable. You will enjoy them!

im from Sussex and finally have my surgery date of June 8th. I had a couple of bumps in the road to where I am now but getting quite excited now. I start my boost on may 25th.
Where are you in the process? You've had one appointment?
I do know there are people on here thst have had their surgery by dr boivert so I'm sure they will chime in here soon.
Have they given you a date yet for your surgery?
I have been on all list. Bathurst now has a specialized clinic that has 2 doctors so they are going through list really quickly. there is also one doctor in Fredericton and one in Moncton. My doctor sent referals to all of them.

I'm new to this group and I'm wondering if there is anyone here who is from Fredericton who's had their sleeve done by Dr. Boisvert. I just got my call from his office last week and had blood testing and a visit with the dietician yesterday. I'd love to be able to meet up with someone who's been through the process with him.
I know what you mean about not recognizing how big and unhealthy you perceive yourself to be. I have gone for years not hardly looking in tr mirror, but even when I did, it was mostly if my head. Seeing pictures of me just sickens me when I realize what I really do look lke but think about what I will look like after and this surgery is going to change my health, I'm feeling so proud of myself for taking this step!

WTG...takes a while but I am almost there and cant wait to be on the bench as they say!...Best of luck with the process, you will learn a lot in here!
