OMG!!!!!! I AM APPROVED!!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!  I AM APPROVED!!!!!! Janell just called from Dr. Moran's office and said they got approval!!!!  Unreal!  They just submitted yesterday!  WOW  Thank you BCBS!   This is my happy Dance! Thanks to everyone for their support!

CONGRATULATIONS Lori!  I'm having my first consult visit with Dr. Bauman to discuss Lapband tomorrow.  I hope my approval goes through, and if it's as quick as your's that would be even better (I have BCBSNC).  doing the happy dance with you!

I have already had my first visit with Dr. Bauman.  All went well.  I'm not sure whether BCBS will pay for me since I do not have a BMI of 40.  Guess I'll have to wait and see.  I wish you well.  My daughter had a gastric bypass in February and Dr. Bauman was her surgeon.  She has felt well.  Dr.B has an excellent program.   Barbara

Congrats!  Next thing we want to hear is your date!  I had mine done thru Dr. Enochs who used to be Dr. Moran's partner.  I had mine done at FRMC just a week ago.  Good luck and let me know if you have any questions! Manya

Thanks Manya, My date is 6/28! Were you happy with the care you received at FRMC?  How long did you stay in the hospital?  Did Dr. Enochs put you on a liquid diet prior to surgery?  I have heard about a lot of Dr.'s doing that, but not Dr. Moran. Talk later, Lori

Yes, I was pretty happy with my care.  It was out patient so I was out by 8pm but I didn't go into surgery until 2:30 out and in recovery at 3:30.  I didn't do a liquid diet.  Dr. Enochs just said don't go hog wild eat sensibly and nothing after midnight the night before.  I did a herbal laxative two days in a row just in case...LOL.  You will do fine I am sure.  Everyone was very, very nice at FRMC. take care, Manya
