2nd Beach get together- Sat 10/4/07???

Evening to all....as I make my way back from Holden Beach! What a great weekend. THANKS to all who travelled to the beach for the get together! I enjoyed meeting all! Great food too! ( I deliberately did not weigh myself today.... I think we should work towards a full weekend of beach fun/support/humor and of course- FOOD!!! lol.... How does Sat 10/6/07 sound??? I have a 2 bedroom condo at the beach during Oct, so I can sleep 3 addtional people. Maybe get a couple condos at Atlantic Towers or even 1 large house??? Rates are sooo much cheaper then! Maybe plan an Aquarium trip and an evening sunset celebration out on the beach???and another potluck dinner and clothing exchange. Maybe with this much advance planning, more people can plan around their work schedules? Give me your feedback. Thanks! Sheila

Sheila -  I had a great time at your house........Thank You again for opening up for us to come over. I look forward to another beach trip! I've got October open...whatever works for everyone...I'm in! If we can get enough people I think renting a house would be great and very affordable.

I want you to know that I truly enjoyed meeting you ...I feel a bit of a kindred spirit. I want to thank you for so very graciously hosting the Pot Luck. I agree that the evening was great and would love to be able to do that again.

Unfortunately, I can't make it on the week-end of Oct 4-6 because I'll be attending my nephew's wedding.

Like you, I hope that with this much notice we will be able to have an even better turnout the next time.

Hey Sheila, I missed the get together this weekend but I would love to plan to come in October.  My best friend Donna is also going through Gastric bypass surgery and with any luck, both of us will have had our surgery by October.  It would be great if we could all travel to the beach for a weekend of relaxation/fun/support.  Hopefully by then I'll be needing that clothing exchange.    I'm going to but the weekend of Oct. 6 on my cal. and get my friend Donna to put it on hers too.  Keep me posted and I hope to see you all on the losing side in October! Sheila, Do yo mean October 4th, Thursday, or October 6th, Saturday?  Either way I will be there...  I feel a cold coming on (LOL!)...  I leave on the 8th for San Diego, so that weekend will work out great for me...  Thanks for opening your house and organizing everything!!!   I look forward to meeting everyone!  

I'd love to get a headcount for anyone who is interested in going down for the Oct 5th weekend. We can get a place starting Fri Oct 5th thru Sun Oct 7th. The more the merrier..and cheaper! LOL Come on for a weekend with the girls! Guaranteed fun! After I get a headcount, I can look for a place to accommodate everyone. I will need to take non-refundable deposits at that point to reserve.  I apologize for this but it is to save the cost for everyone in the event of no-show's.

I won't be able to come down for the whole weekend but I live close enough that I can come down on Friday and probably Saturday...  I can't wait!

Hi Shelia -  You might see my face this time, as I'm moving from Charlotte, to the Jacksonville area next week. I am going to be a beach girl soon.  I hate that I missed it this past weekend.  How awsome would it be to meet up.  I will send you a PM -  I need to get ready for work. Jennifer

Sounds like fun and as long as it is not too close to my WLS date (dont have one yet0 I would love to come Sheila!!! Im sure it would be a blast!!!!! finally get to mee the Raleigh group!!
