Thanks for the kind words Chareen.  I don't feel like much of an inspiration, but I know how good it felt to read of others successes when I was pre-op and even now.  It always seemed like it was happening faster to them than it does to me now.  I guess that's some kind of weird WLS doppler effect?  Oh well, I'll get some patience someday... How're you doing with the band?  Is it going okay? Take care. Ellen

Ellen, it's so good to see you post again.  First off, let me say your picture is great.......even though you're not smiling, I love your hair now and your face is so thin!  I think that hair kinda hanging over your face gives you that tough chick look, and that's kinda' hot, lol.  Anyway, everytime you put up a new pic, its sooooo evident all the changes you're going through.  Don't worry about the 188 thing, look how far you've come already!!  If a couple mess ups are what's been going on, so be it.  Nobody's perfect, but at least you're aware of what you're doing, rather than in denial.  I truly wish and hope you could make it to the beach when we go.....I think it would do you a world of good, plus, I'd love to meet you!  Funny you post about the name thing, my friend has a colostomy bag and she calls it "george", so she got me naming my new stomach "even tho I havent had a fill yet, I chose Marguerite.  Heck knows what made me choose that, guess I was feeling mexican that day.  Dunno.  Anyway, nite Irene.........love ya' both. Nancy oh, btw, I've been stuck at 210 for 3 weeks now, and went to a friends and never mind her medicine cabinent, lol, I used her scale.  203........I'm gonna' have to go weigh at gym tomorrow, it CANT be right.

Hi Nancy.  Usually when I think I'm hot, it's cause it 100 degrees outside.   Thanks for the kind words.  There have been more than a couple of mess ups, but considering what's been happening in my life, I'm not feeling too bad.  My doctor was aware that my marriage was on shaky ground when I met with him.  He told me that there's nothing like a spouse leaving to throw someone totally off track.  I told him I understood what he was saying, but what was I supposed to do, put my health on hold to wait and see what my husband might or might not do?  He understood.  I'm thankful that even though my weight loss has slowed a tad, probably because of my bad choices, I've still been trending in the right direction.  I would love to go to the beach, but I just don't have the money right now.  I didn't go to the get together in Raleigh because I didn't trust my car to drive that far.  At the moment, I need to just lay low and see what life brings.  Marguerite is a great name.  Sounds classy.  I hope your pouch behaves in a classy manner.  I know mine doesn't.   I thought about Marge, like the old lady on the Hallmark cards.  That's how mine behaves. Anyway, you and Marguerite have a great night too. take care. Ellen

Hi Ellen, Your looking great GF. To get to the 200's is a pipe dream for me but boy do I want to see those numbers too. I have enjoyed reading the different names on the pouches that is so clever. I havent come up with a name yet but will start thinking of one. You have no idea how much I have enjoyed wearing the clothes I got from you and as the benefits from wls the pants are getting way too big but it feels great to wear clothes that are getting big. On a personal note I lost 17 years of my life being married to a very abusive man and being a person who always wanted to belive in my vows I kept waiting for my ex to change. Well that never happend but I changed I finally got out of the situation. It was the best thing I ever did for my health and well being. Maybe things will work out with you and your hubby but dont wait to long and continue on the track you are on. Change is very hard but it can also be very good and look at the good changes you have done so far. You are the one who had the surgery and you are the one who is having to relearn how to eat again. Hang in there Ellen and know you are cared about from others who are on this journey to better health.                                                      Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
