Hi to everyone! I have survived 6 weeks of the beach ( not so sure if the beach survived 6 weeks of me???......) The fishing has been awesome. Caught plenty of fish and filled the freezer AND caught a man! A very hot man! Some of you may remember back in Aug when I posted a thread about my 1st experience of wearing a bikini in public- 1st time since age 17yo. Well, Tim was the guy who flirted with me back then and has continued to flirt ever since.....So- I had a great time at the beach; he and I are fishing the Carolina Beach surf fishing tourmament this weekend and then headed to Ocracoke in 2 weeks for 4 days of red drum fishing. Yep- my sista nailed it on the head- fishing and flirting and fit and having fun! Have I said- I LOVE MY BAND yet in this thread?!? I'm almost 8months post op and down 64lbs! Weighed in at 182 lbs this morning and only 12lbs to goal!!! Love you all and have missed everyone! LOVE,love , love all the new avatars! Everyone looks great! I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey Sheila, Newbie Wendy here... I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading your post! I could hear you speaking right through my computer, especially about that M.A.N. you caught fish'n. I don't ever remember wearing a bikini, and still can't fathom that, but I'm THRILLED for you gurl. I LOVE Carolina/Kure Beach too...

Hi Wendy- so nice to meet you! You will grow to love the support and encouragement here on OH! I have been oceanfront at the Sandpeebles condo on the southern end of Carolina Beach for the past 6 weeks- I can rent the condo for $900 for the ENTIRE month after Labor Day- gotta love those rates! Welcome back Sheila, Lee and I are comming down to Topsail this Sunday. Plan on meeting up with Mare and Nancy at Ruby Tuesday at Monkey Junction for lunch on Sunday I do hope you can come. I will plan on posting final details by Friday this week. I am excited about fishing in the sound never done that before it has to be better than lake fishing. Sheryl, By all means come to RT at Monkey Junction @ high noon. Lee is a cowboy from out west so high noon is part of his lingo LOL I think our wedding was at high noon LOL I plan on calling Mare to review the plans on Friday. I am so looking forward to this and meeting evryone and Mare is right bring your honey too. Lee is my driver also my honey who I dont think I could have gotten this far without his love and suporrt. My eyes are still not 100% but I am able to see better than I could. Annie

Annie- I live 3 mins from the Monkey Junction RT and I LOVE their crabcakes! Count me in! I so look forward to meeting you and seeing Nancy and Mare again! Maybe Suzanne , Sheryl and Darcie can join us? Calling all local yocals- come out for Sunday lunch! Looks like you and Lee will have great weather for fishing. Plan on buying whole mullet and fresh shrimp for bait. Cut up the fresh mullet and haul them in! I would also recommend bringing a cooler to take some fresh shrimp home- they are great currently and priced low. ( My seafood shop- Alford-s is right around the corner from Ruby Tuesday's).
