I AM APPROVEDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Wooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooo I can't even believe it. My Dr's. office FINALLY faxed it in last Friday and I called today to follow up and they said you are alllll approved. Music to my ears............  Now, the day of surgery, do they tell you no makeup, no fingernail polish all of that kind of stuff? What happens next.

LOL!!!  They will tell you well in advance, everything you need to know. CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Isn't it a great feeling?  Like you were afraid to let yourself want it too much for fear it wouldn't happen?  You are on your way!

WOOHOOOO! Congratulations!!! I remember very well how that high felt and now you need to ride it!!! Congratulations to you!!!

Your Preop should cover everything like no eating after midnight, no makeup ect I wish you the best of luck!!

Congratulations!! How exciting for you.  It varies from hospital to hospital as to what they require of you, but don't you worry, they will inform you well in advance! Did you get a date yet??

Dr. Bauman's office said no nail polish, but I went with my toes painted and it was ok.  No makeup.....and they'll have you wash with a special soap, you'll find all of it out- very soon!  When's your pre-op? Best of luck to you! Nancy

I am so glad for you!   As I recall, the anesthesiologist said no makeup, no nail polish, no jewelry (gave dh my wedding band).  I had a pre-op appt with Dr. P and Kim met with me and gave the map to the hospital.  I think Kim helped set up my hospital pre-op appt too.  We don't have to have a two week liquid thing, just the day before limitation based on when your surgery is.  And take it from me, stay away from diseased folks, wash your hands constantly, etc. so you don't come down with a cold.  I had one early in the week and ended up using zicam nasal swabs and mucinex so that I wouldn't get rescheduled. Keep us informed on your date!

OMGGGGGGGG, Robin, yesterday morning I was fine, got the great news....... And the afternoon started having a very bad sore throat...... Now, I am out of work today, sore throat coughing.  I don't have a date yet, I am waiting for Kim to call me back from Dr. P's office to set up the pre op and give me my date.  I will be calling her again today. LOL She told me BCBS would take two weeks, we talked on Tuesday. Yesterday I found out. he he he.  I can't wait, I am so tired of aches and pains and feeling tired and being treated completely different from people. I am 48 and some days feel 68.  I need to go get my avatar now and post my pic. I was so afraid to do that to jinx myself. I doesn't seem real.   Best of all I have the best support group right here. I have not told but a few people at work, too many people are negative about stuff like that and I am not interested in their negativity. I stay clear of people like that. I am a very positive upbeat person and refuse to let anyone bring me down.  Wooo hooooo LQQK out North Carolina the BLONGRL has arrived. LOL

too weird!  I'm 48 too!  Call either your primary care or Dr. P and get some recommendations of otc meds for the cold.  have you gotten your flu shot yet?  You might want to check with Dr. P's office about whether you should or not.  Start taking vitamins now!!!  Build up your immune system, get rest, etc. so that you're ready when the time comes!  PM me if you need anything!
