One month check-up and back to work today
I really hate those things.
I did have a couple WOW moments of my own this past week though. I was able to go to Ross and get some shirts that FIT! I loved that they were so cheap. I had been buying similiar items at Catherine's for MUCH MUCH more, so to be able to go to Ross and get a sweater dressy enough for work for like $6.00 just made my day! A couple of them are still a little snug-- I won't wear them just yet, but I know in a few weeks they will be perfect!
Anyway, I guess I better go get in the shower and get ready for the appointment. I wanted to check in and say hey. I will try to be around more now that I'll be on the computer more. Have a great day everyone!!! Melinda

It's a BOY!
Hey Melinda,
Sorry to hear you've hit a wall too! I must admit that I haven't stayed off the scales... just can't do it. But that's OK with me. There are some in the medical world who actually encourage daily weighing to make sure we're not going in the wrong direction on our weight loss. I'm STILL on the exact weight I was 9 days ago. It's very frustrating. I'm too, and struggling with all the protein AND food I'm supposed to be having. Wish my appt. had been today instead of tomorrow so we could have run into each other. I know what you mean about getting bored... but I mostly work from home so I'm going stir crazy. But sis and I are taking my nephew to the BEE movie this afternoon and out for a bite for supper after that, so I'm so excited about getting out more and more. I've been going out several times each day and walking some, and sitting on my patio with my eyes closed soaking up some sun for 20 minutes at the time when the sun's out. THAT feels SOOOOOOO good! Glad to hear you're doing great and headed back to work... and YAH about the shopping trip! Hope we can visit soon...
33 lbs sounds excellent to me.... dont worry about how much you lose - just that you are losing... I see you have around 100lbs left to goal and they will be off in no time!! Work on getting in as much protein as possible... it will most definately help the weightloss but also help with the dreaded hair loss! :-) It is SO nice to shop at 'normal' places... its great to have options as well. I went to TJMaxx just the other weekend and walked out with a ton of stuff for what I would have paid for a shirt and pants at Lane Bryant!

Hi Melinda,
I'm right with you. I had surgery 2 days before you, have lost 34 pounds and now seem to have hit a stall again. :( This is my 2nd in the month or so since surgery. I have been getting my protein though, I think that, along with exercise is critical. Just keep doing your best, the formula has worked for everyone else (and almost everyone else ha**** a stall at some point or another too.) I know if we keep following Dr's suggestions, we'll start losing again too.
Good luck going back to work! I'm not working at all right now and am completely stir crazy, so I'm job hunting. :)
I started the soft food stage last Tuesday after my 2 week apt and started fish tonight. NExt week I add chicken and then a week later add beef/pork. I'll tell ya, that 2 ounces of tuna was so good tonight.
I've lost 30 pounds now since Oct. 5th when I started the pre-op diet so I 'm pretty happy. Had some issues with constipitation this weekend. took 3 doses of MOM to get straightened out.
Well, take care and let me know how your apt went! Alice H:260 G: 135 C:145 L: 131 BMI: 26 H: 5' 2 1/2"
