Greenville Get-Together?

I was thinking around lunch time. Maybe 11-1 timeframe??? I had thought about McAllister's Deli since they have a pretty good size private room and probably have most things people can eat after WLS.  Once I know for sure we are doing it, I'll go ahead and book their private room. It looks like we are a go though, but I'll wait for a few more responses.  I'm also open to other suggestions of places as there are many restaurants in Greenville-- McAllister's just has a private room.  Greenville is relatively large. We have a nice mall (although not as nice as Raleigh malls *hehe) and of course the University (ECU) is here. Here is a link to the City website: www.greenvillenc.gov. If you wanted to make it a weekend, Atlantic Beach is only about 1.5 hours away and you could take Hwy 70 all the way back to Raleigh on your way home. Unfortunately, with all the perks of the RDU area, Greenville is rather limited. It's a great place to live, just not a lot to "do" really. We'll talk more closer though if you are interested in parks and such. :) Also, Becky and I have something cooking for an "after party, party", but it's still in the works so more to come about that shortly. I'm getting excited!

I'm familiar with McAlister's and I think that it would work out well. Please know that the size of the group very well may grow over time. I think once you have a count of 6 or so, it's worth booking and firming up the headcount as you get closer to the date ... That's one of the reasons that the meetup site is nice, because that way you don't have to keep track of each of the threads and who said they would come or couldn't come on which thread ... if you know what I mean (That nearly drove me crazy ... and I don't have far to go ... hehehe)

Let me know if you do an after party, party ... Sounds like fun.

Thanks, Barb. I went ahead and called McAllister's yesterday afternoon and we are officially BOOKED for July 26. I told him we would more than likely grow and that I would keep him updated on the numbers.  Thanks so much for allowing me to use Meetup and for your suggestions. I'm sorry you can't make it Sheryl, but we'll try to do it again when you can. Is that a Saturday (4th week) that you always work or is it different every month?
