Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Congratulations ! I can't help but to be jealous - I want to be that close to surgery.
I definitely know what you mean - I wonder if at 54 I can lose weight - or are the bad habits so ingrained in me that it is impossible?? And please, let things go smoothly - feel good, no complications, etc.

You have not mentioned who your support person is... I have my 2 girls.

We seem to be about the same size - so I will be interested in hearing all about each and every step.
